在机场Hertz的租车点租了一辆Corolla。在检查车辆的时候，我就觉得轮胎有点儿旧，
不过以前租车没有出过轮胎的问题，所以也就没太在意。没想到这轮胎后来还真给我们
找了不少麻烦。
一开出机场，就看到眼前一片蓝色的海洋，这就是著名的麦哲伦海峡。我们真的来到世
界的尽头了。尽管风浪仍然很大，但是比起德雷克海峡上的狂风巨浪，麦哲伦海峡还是
更适于航行。在巴拿马运河修建前，麦哲伦海峡是连接太平洋和大西洋的重要水道。作
为海峡上最大的港口，Punta Arenas从18世纪中也开始兴旺起来。如今，Punta Arenas
是游客们前往南极以及智利、阿根廷最南部Patagonia地区的出发点。但是比起往日的
喧闹与繁荣，今天的Punta Arenas不过是海边一座安静的小城罢了。
