one of the following has to happen:
(1) Stanford wins the Pac10.
(2) Stanford finishes in the BCS top 4.
For (1) to happen, Oregon would have to lose 2 of its last 3 games.
Considering the way Oregon is playing and its remaining schedule, this is
pretty much impossible.

bowl berth over a Big10 team.
The only time where the Pac10 had an at-large BCS bid while the Big10 didn't
was in the 2000 season when no Big10 teams finished in the top 14 so that
no Big10 team was eligible for at-large bids.
The Big10 will always get an at-large BCS bid as long as it has a non-
champion team other than NW in the top 14.
