STANDYBY THROUGH: 当功放STANDBY的时候（就是你关掉功放的意思）， HDMI的信号直接经过功
放传到电视机上， 每小时额外耗电1瓦左右。
HDMI PASS THROUGH： 当功放在使用的时候， 功放不对输入的视频信号增强， 直接输出到电视机
上， 比如， 你的功放本身的OSD是480P的， 输出到电视机也是480P
HDMI UPSCALING: 当功放在使用的时候， 功放对输入的视频信号增强， 再输出到电视机上， 比
如， 你的功放本身的OSD是480P的， 输出到电视机变成是1080P. 很多功放的UPSCALING太糟糕
了，

用OPT在公司工作了一年，在快结束的时候，今年1月12号递交了申请，很悬，那时候大
家都在抢工作签证名额，2月28号我的申请通过了，没用加急。非常小的公司，3-5个人
那种，会计职位。今天收到律师的通知，非常吃惊，因为在版上看到都是3-6个月才办
得下来的。其实我2月20号opt就过期了，现在pending状态也能工作，但是很担心不知
道哪天起来签证被拒就要打包回国了。
想说的是，我的case有运气成分，认真准备申请材料也很重要，不要被律师忽悠的前提
是自己也要很了解h1-b办理的各个环节。也祝还在pending状态的同学们好运啦：）

是普通的“三七开”的评价，心里还挺美。

发帖数: 3011 | 17 首先plasma不会如同lcd那么亮，所以如果你要是把电视放在很亮的屋子里，lcd确实
会看起来更鲜艳。但是在家里有几个是把灯全开了看电视的呢？然后玩相机的应该知
道vivid setting。同理，LCD就是这种vivid setting，专门人工的增强了edge的显
示和让色彩更饱和一些，但是vivid模式下的颜色并不是真实的natural的颜色。刚看
的时候vivid的确会有比较强一些的视觉冲击，特别是对于女生。当然这个属于个人
喜好，有的人喜欢，有的人不喜欢，尤其是天天都要看。
其实你只要用lcd看几部高清的片，你就会发现在lcd上看，就像在看电视电影，影片
的胶片感没有了。原因就是lcd的motion blur。这个lcd是远远不及plasma的。
最后，同样尺寸同样大小的电视，价钱二者天差地远。尺寸越大，这种差别就越明显。

求电视推荐另外：
- 没必要买内置WIFI那种SMART TV了吧？因为那些内嵌的功能PS3已有。
- VOD的话BLOCKBUSTER NETFLIX APPLE TV哪个好？ CABLE HD/DISH已经被排除了
- 下个720P盗版片儿的话怎么放？ 以前用WIN的MEDIA CENTER跟PS3连过，就是没法上

个人认为不差钱的情况下，top private (非常有名也特贵）＞top public ( national
blur ribbon, 10分）＞ good pubic (9分）＞ average private (那种名不见经传的
私立).
当然要看你培养孩子的方向勒。比如，噢巴马外祖父母把他从小送夏威夷最好私立，对
他进藤及和进入elite阶层有很大影响。不过top private 很难进。学习上那点东西其
实不然不管什么学校都可以学到，其他方面考虑的是朋友圈，所谓人以群分嘛。 |

接受过Harvard那么多年的教育，你肯定是很清楚normative and positive的区别的。
虽然认为能够把信仰和理论完全分开确实有幼稚的嫌疑，但是一定要blur他们之间的

发帖数: 10908 | 47 其实我现在有点改变看法了。我觉得 Piaget 老先生在 Formal Operation 上的看法是
对的。Formal Operation 的确可以从抽象到抽象，不依赖任何 Concrete Objects。
这是因为所谓的 Formal Operation，其本质上是一种 instinct/intuition，或者说，
implicit memory。正因为如此，可以完全从抽象到抽象，而不依赖任何实物。
之所以实践上用 Formal Operation 的时候，大部分人还是会用 “blurred”
concrete object，很大的可能这是个 priming implicit memory 的过程，这样使得
implicit memory work more effective。
这也能解释，我的大娃几个月在刚学代数的时候，做个 complete a square 都得真的
画个 square 来 priming implicit memory。而我就基本上根本不咋用 priming 就直
