Currently,
two breakers (#1 and #2) control the stove (40 amp) which has two hot wires
and one ground copper.
breaker #3, 20 amp, supposedly for microwave use
breaker #4, 20 amp, supposedly for two other recep in kitchen and kitchen
island receps.
Right now all four breakers (#1- #4) use the same neutral, looks like 10
gauge wire.
breaker #1 and #2 bangled together whereas #3 and #4 are not linked together
at the panel.

嗯，去年sandy的时候很惨，停了两周电，到第三天的时候弄到了一个发电机，因为要
开暖气，但是暖气的两路电，一路在家里的总panel，另一路的车库的100A subpanel，
所以当时是索性冒险直接将发电机接入家里的整个电网，唯一的保护措施是把家里的总
开关关死，然后沾上层层胶带。。。电来了以后马上把所有临时的线路拆掉，怕被人查
到。。。
现在大半年过去了，怕又停电，LD提了好几次，终于在上周末按规范把发电机电路完成
，不怕简陋，摆上这个版来聊以充数，贻笑大方。
code的要求是你需要有一个装置，确保让utility company和你的发电机不能给家里的
任何一路线路同时供电。绝大多数人用的是transfer switch，这个电路接起来比较麻
烦，而且不太能解决我们家的问题。

边上的房间也受到影响， 其它房间没有问题。到车库检测了那里的配电盒，breaker
都没有off. 下面是我的trouble-shooting:
1. 定位了出问题的线路的breaker并关掉（off）, disconnect了hot线，换了另外一路hot线接过去，把breaker重置于on, 发现这个线路的插座没有问题； 同时把受影响的那个hot线换到别的breaker, 插座仍然没用电。我想可以以此排除这个breaker的问题。
不知从breaker出来的电线到wall outlet之间， 应该怎样trouble shooting. TIA！
这个房间的所有outlet都不是gfci的。 bathroom有一个gfci的插座, 可是当时也没用人在用啊。
现在发现一个症状是用电笔去测哪些断电的outlet， both hot与neutral线都是亮的， 可是不能驱动任何设备。同时去测正常的outlet, 只有hot会点亮电笔。

这个是非法的。
now since i found breaker #3 and breaker #4 share the same neutral, i don't
know if there is any value to modify.
两条厨房电路共用一条零线很常见，本身没有问题，断电保护器相邻，开关连起来就可
以。
但是再跟电炉共用零线就不合法了。所以你的最大的问题是要将电路3和4的零线从电炉

一声轻响，估计是不小心把黑白两条线碰到了一起造成了短路。 把黑白两条线分开后

它的头是不旋转的 (不象Ratcheting Socket Wrench那样可以正转和反转)
所以很多空间地方小的地方,根本无法下手.
现在商店打折,$3.99就可以买一个平常卖$12的breaker bar,有必要考虑要不要退了吗?
因为我想买个$50的电动impact wrench. 240 lb ft.
但是这个玩意体积太大,除了axle和lug也没多大用途. |

０００瓦特， 总共大概 ２０００／１１０＝１８安培．可是我们那个地下室所有的
插座共用一个15 安培的breaker。 每个插座是不会烧的，但是通过那个breaker的电

把所有电闸关了在开也没用, 把所有GFCI outlet 重置也没用
甚至把室外的总闸关了再开也没用!
里里外外找了一个小时, 也没找到第二个breaker panel
怀疑是之前主卧加建过, circuit breaker不知道装哪了
难道只能叫电工了么, 来一下service call, $125 for the first hour

an extra neutral wire, which according to what i read, is only used for
supporting accessory equipment of the stove, such as light, display panel ,
clock etc. so it should not draw high walts.
to stop sharing, i have to abandon breaker #3 and #4 without getting an
extra wire from the breaker panel which is very far.
there are breaker #6 (20 amp) at the other side of the stove receps. |

的拦路虎。拧开了就可以用普通的扮手甚至手来拧，breaker bar只是用于拧开那一下。

不能启动。然后我马上买了个新的换上，就可以启动了。但是今天检查了一下，发现新
circuit breaker的同一个位置的电极又有些过热，融化了塑料。我家空调系统今年制
冷效果不如往年。白天天热的时候空调只能把温度降到27，28摄氏度左右。晚上凉快的
时候要好一点。
由于制冷效果不好，温度降不下来。空调室外机一直在运行，不知道这样会不会导致电
极过热？
温度降不下来除了可能漏制冷剂外，请问有没有可能是空调控制器的热电偶有问题？

you can do anything with that tool.
usually 140 to 150 lb.ft is enough for most of the car.
breaker bar is good only when you don't have any tools else to lose the nut.
such change timing belt cranshaft pulley nut, cv boot nut.

box里有三根线， 一进二出， 出1是通过switch控制yard里的感应灯，出2是供应那几
个断电的房间的，不被switch控制, 而只是在switch上直接与进的hot wire连在一个
screw上。然后三根地线连在一起， 三根neutral连在一起。不知道这样接线有问题吗？
原来的整个switch都烤焦了，周围的线也都糊了， 甚至看见部分铜线熔化的痕迹。但
是配电盒一直没被trip, 所有我估计应该不是电流过载， 而是接触不良导致过热。
BTW，这一路的breaker与switch都是15A的, 最大负荷应该是1800w, 我应该从来没有同
时用到过1800w。 |

瓦特的电器, 如果我在下面装上个2000瓦特的电器,会不会
烧掉,能不能自己把配电间的circuit breaker 控制地下室 receptacles 的换成30安培
的? 电线应该够粗, 只是前任屋主没有充分利用地下室.
