狗去参赛。如果你有兴趣，可以去看。
我一直去的是9号的那个all breed的dog show，别的我没有去过，有的是没太大兴趣，
有的是时间我赶不上。9号的那个规模确实很大，是一天的，有indoor的，有outdoor的
，各种狗，但也需要有个好天气。去年下雨，比较扫兴。我和老婆头天晚上去走了走，
好多参赛的都开始进驻做准备了，挺好玩儿的。
到了当天，有参赛的，还有好多人是带着自己的狗去看着玩儿的，还有卖各种东西的，
就像个大集市。说实话我们俩是比较懒的，那里好多内容都没有仔细参详过，只是找自
己有兴趣的看看。至于breeders或各种相关服务的组织，我相信是少不了的。
时间安排，实际上是如果你点击左边“judging programs”,里面会有。只是现在他们
还没能把5月9号的时间表放上去。等有了，你会看到几点到几点，在什么位置，有什么
狗种参赛等信息。

到底这些breeder breed出来,最后被送shelter的狗算差还是不差？

查了查鸟书，是不是Ring-necked Duck？鸟书上（P91）画的Juvenile（Aug-Oct）和
Adult Female Breeding （Oct-Mar）很像，但是根据时间（我三月底拍的），还有翅
膀下的faint, pale "spur"，我判断是Adult Female Breeding中的鸟，你们的意见是？

发帖数: 409 | 24 长期潜水这个版，上来的奔的狗狗和猫猫们都好可爱，我也只有流口水的份。现在觉得
还有点时间了，经济上也没有那么拮据，所以，开始有了自己也养个狗狗的想法。
我现在和老公两个人，还没有宝宝，不过估计一两年内会考虑了，所以，老公不是很支
持我。但是我认为不是个大问题，有经验的狗妈狗爸们可以给些中肯的意见。
现在我最大的问题，就是不知道该养什么breed。我的expectation，小型狗，要cute，
要聪明。网上有一个狗狗的智商排名，poodle排第二，而且不掉毛，是我的首选。但是
我觉得Maltese，Westie，比熊，都狠可爱，但是他们的智商排名好像不高。我觉得狗
狗聪明的话，就很招人喜欢，上厕所之类的，也好训练，也好带，好养。大家能不能给
我点建议呢？
还有，我怎么找local的breeder呢，网上的information有很多，但是非常混乱，也不
知道别的更好的途径帮助我寻找我想要的狗狗。

发帖数: 572 | 25 AKC上找找附近的breeder，最好自己去看看狗狗成长的环境。我觉得你就是想养来做宠
物，不是拿来breed卖钱或者去走秀吧，那么健康的狗狗就最重要了，什么bloodline都
是没有意义的。。。。。。300-500属于正常价格，不过lz要是坚持要champinline的，
那么1000以上也是有很多的。
另外，我觉得聪明真的就是跟训练有关，我家养的就是toy poodle，如果我训练她多点
她就学的好，但是如果有的trick我很少训练，她就记不住，（比如最基本的come它就
不是每次都会做到）所以我觉得跟智商没有必然的联系
最后希望lz能够找到自己中意的狗狗，最重要是能够爱它养它一辈子

that's all i have to say about that... heh
small dogs definitely have many advantages... Don't worry too much about house training - as long as you can put in some effort for a month or so, i don't think you'll have any problem housebreak any breed. |

我出去遛狗的时候貌似还没见到过这么大只的， 见过最大一般就是90lb左右的。
俩狗上次看到一个1岁左右的狗，我也说不准什么breed，有点像akita也有点像bernese
mountain dog,不过是立耳朵的。 人家大概90lb，在网球场子里头，俩狗在网子外头
，那是头一次黑皮看到这么大只的狗也很high（阿彪反正看见什么狗都很high//汗），
他们就隔着网子一起疯跑
是摇摇尾巴。 |

但你不去参赛，没什么需要去注册，最多买张入场票之类的好进场用。
我贴的这个dog show是all breed的，就是有各种狗，和各类比赛项目，其中会有许多
breeder参加，来show show他们的狗，也有自己的狗来参加比如服从性，灵敏度等的比
赛等等。
我觉得如果你是去看的话，一个是可以看到各种各样的狗，还一个是估计能看到别人是
把孩子教育成什么样。---怎么教育的这个技巧性问题估计一时半会是看不出来的。我
一般看完后都是感叹一番，然后该什么样还什么样。 |

不过猫清醒的时候还是会揍狗...
感觉跟breed无关
猫狗的language不同很难沟通成朋友的...
比如狗横扫尾巴是开心,对猫这却是要打架的动作...
你找个不爱追猫比较ignore猫的狗就行了... |

在网上搜，褒贬不一。breeder说她都一直给狗狗goat cheese，说有营养。但是钙的含
量那么高，不是说large breed不应该吃钙含量高的东西，怕长得太快，有可能得hip
dysplasia.也有人说cheese里sodium太多，狗不该吃sodium。
我给我家娃用cheese当treat，每次bb完都给一点。不知道是不是不好。 |
