new technology.
Just a few of things off the top of my head
1. You need to glue 1' of the plastic sheeting to the basement wall. We used
to use roof cement, but not sure what's the best adhesive now that there
are so many new glues in the town.
2. Back fill with gravels, not top soil. Most likely, you can't find a good
plant for these spots, so forget about top soil. Another benefit of gravels

发帖数: 82 | 8 刚刚做完inspection, 主要的问题的地下室的墙最上面三排的blocks有点pushed in，
也就是向里面凹了大概2英寸，整面墙不是在一个平面上。据说是直接用cement封住了
crawl space, 重量太大的原因。inspector说这不寻常。墙面上也有一处裂痕，但因为
是沿着砖zigzag的，inspector说这是common的。
还有就是地下室beams连接本来应该overlap, 但没有，导致楼上的门没法关紧。
想请问大家可否帮忙诊断一下，严不严重？我该不该请个结构工程师看看？ |

墙的对面就是crawl space, inspector说过他爬不过去，因为crawl space被cement堵
死了，这是inspector说的最上3层block pushed in的原因。
确实，真怕哪天墙塌了，确实是个cheap built的房子，一这房子在一个斜坡上，二是
脚踩在地板上吱吱响，说是底下的glue没做好，换flooring是可以解决，三是beam没有
overlap, 导致门不能keep open. 其实这些省的也没省几个钱下来。
不能说非常喜欢这个房子，矮子中拔高子。 |

买的房子很破，只好重新装。
原来的浴室是二合一的浴缸，下图左。改成淋浴和澡盆，下图右。
设计成这样，浴缸的deck一部分在淋浴间做凳板。
哪，这就是原来的东西。地上都是地毯。
所以先把浴缸左边的墙拆掉。
把浴缸和墙上的瓷砖都拆掉
拆掉的浴缸，扔到车库里，到craigslist上贴个广告，片刻就有人来拿走了。
拆掉的瓷砖带墙，没人要，只好每周一大片放在垃圾里扔掉。
原来浴缸的地方改成淋浴，水管就用原来的。下水道要改一下位置。水管和下水道都要
分出一支来供给新浴缸。把subfloor锯开。其中部分靠近原来浴缸的subfloor有被水泡
坏的地方，也要换掉。浴室在车库上面，浴室地板和车库顶其实之间有3-4尺高的空间
。但是为了省事，没有从车库里开顶接管道，都是在上面进行的。不过将来要是管道有
什么问题，比如漏水什么的，还是比较好维护。由于原来计划的下水道管口位置刚好在
joist上面，所以淋浴的下水道管口只好换成偏移了中心的。浴缸的下水道不好偏移，
最后是做了一个平台把浴缸垫高了才有空间把管道在subfloor上面平移。

Once they approve the plan, you can start the build.
Over the years, I have added lots of decks, it is not that hard to do. Put
in the post is most work, but you can contract that part out.
If you plan to do everything yourself, you need the right tools, renting an
auger to dig all the holes.
I used laser to project a grid on the area first, mark all the hole spot
with little flags, I rented a PTO auger for my tractor for a day, dug all
the holes.

problem is the wood sub-floor is not flat. The biggest drop is > 1/4 inch
over 1 ft gap. This is new construction. I have no idea if this is too much,
i.e., bad construction maybe?
Does any expert on the forum have any suggestion on how to fix this before
actually laying the laminate floor? The manufacture's spec is 1/16 inch over
40 inch distance.

concrete water-resistant 1/2-in HardieBacker Cement Board as tile backer on
bathroom surounds. Make sure you use concrete nails with hardie boards.

1） Broan 332H 900 CFM Exterior Blower
我理解的是，这是室外机。装在roof上。
问题：需要买什么盖子吗？不会漏雨吗？是不是向外出风的时候，力量很大，不必担心
漏雨，而平时反正是自动关闭的？
2） BROAN E64E30SS 1-Way External Blower Stainless Shell
我理解的是，这是室内装在炉子上方的抽油烟机的罩子。
3） 10" Round Duct
即管道。
这个需要买多长得问师傅吧。
4） Broan 332KR Rough-in Kit
我理解的是，这是连接 2）抽油烟机的罩子 和3）上方管道 的连接口。
5）10" Round adjustable elbows
这是弯曲的管道。如果需要管道绕道，需要这个。但如果可以不用最好，因为那样的话
，抽风效果比较好。
6）封房顶开洞的材料，roofing cement (在安装说明中提到），需要问师傅。
7）连接管道的材料，胶一类的。需要问师傅。
