10多年前我还是学生的时候，时间多，爱专研deal，搞的硬件单位成本必须是Free或者
美元以个位数记。记得攒过的一个电脑，CPU都忘了，但显卡是XFX的FX5200，因为它是
整机中最贵的零件，但无非也就是6，70，都玩了2年了。机箱，虽然是塑料的，但免费
；电源，虽然会沸腾，但免费的；硬盘，IDE大跳水时代，白菜价；至于显示器，键盘
什么的，都是系里淘汰捡回来的。就这样我一挂到医学院的食堂，当天就有个做保安的
劳模来要，而且不还价，$750！我反复向他强调XP是盗版装的，劳模却毫不在乎。过了
大半年，手又欠痒，也是出于淘汰家里电子垃圾的想法，又攒了一台挂出去买。结果当
天又有买家上门，我一下傻了眼，居然是同一个劳模。他说上台电脑搬回家，他弟弟老
是和他抢，搞得经常用不上。看到是我又再卖，属信誉高的“厂家”，毅然做了回头客
。出于良心上的考虑，我这次还主动给他减了价，把他感动得眼泪都快出来了。说实话
，不降价我心里都不安呀！
还有一次我攒了个低配电脑，其实是适合做家用服务器用的，结果一个警察上门问货（

Costco买。一是价格不黑，二是省心，2+2的保修真是贴心。
很早以前有个CompUSA也还凑合，但倒闭后被TigerDirect买了，剩下的BB，OfficeMax
之类的都是黑店，虽然极偶尔会有deal，但一般都是吃人不吐骨头的价。家附件有
MicroCenter就运气了，很多平价PC，而且经常可以买到二手的deal。 |

发帖数: 58 | 9 今天在Compusa帮mm买了hawking的无线router 和 usb adapter. 想把verizon DSL 升级为
无线上网。 原来一直都是用DSL上的usb 口连计算机上的usb口上网的。
无线router 和无线网卡之后，可以用无线网卡找到router，并能设置，改ID和channel。
可是无法连出去上网。
我重启过DSL。
我想，是不是安装都没问题。而是我需要DSL的帐号密码？DSL需要帐号密码吗？我用usb
口上网的时候，好像没有问帐号密码啊。
在设置router的过程中，问过我是用pppoe,ppt什么上网的，我选择了”没有帐号和密码“
。
如果哪位有经验，请指点一下。

这两天IE突然犯病了。任何网站都上不去，例如敲入www.cnn.com,下面的
状态栏会显示，searching www.www.cnn.com.net..... searching www.www.
cnn.com.org 等，然后出现could not open search page的 pop up.
家里另一天电脑的IE没有一点问题。
Netscape是行的，telnet和email client收email 都没有问题。我的是windows XP.
不知道大家遇到这样的问题没有？ |

到，连my computer也找了半天。看来ms想把vista变的更加dummy，对于我这样用惯了传
统windows的人却是适得其反，我估计自己未来一两年之内不会轻易switch到vista，不

software were gone.
My friend suggests me to sue him. Is that doable? How much money can I get
from this lawsuit?
BTW: I bought a laptop of $1800 from compusa right after the theft. Can that

Illinois sales tax, plus $27 for shipping. It's only 60hz, but it seems to
