皇家银行称，购房成本的提高自2008年春季以来还是首次，这主要是因为房贷利率的微升和房价的升高。
皇家银行在计算购房成本占税前家庭收入的比例后发现，在第三季度，基准独立式平房(benchmark detached bungalow)上升1%至40.2%;标准镇屋(standard townhouse)上升0.7%至32.3%;标准共管公寓(standard condo)上升0.5%至27.6%;标准两层楼住宅(standard two-storey home)上升1.2%至45.8%。
皇家银行称，目前住房需求增长速度超过供应，导致市场购房竞争激烈、房价普遍上涨。

据皇家骑警公布的案情显示，一个包括三名男性及两名女性嫌犯在内的人口走私犯罪集团，参与自匈牙利走私19名偷渡客抵达加拿大。人蛇犯罪集团在收取偷渡客高额偷渡金前，承诺可帮偷渡客在加拿大寻获稳定且高收入的工作。

加拿大皇家银行(RBC)昨日公布今年第三季房屋负担报告指出，大温地区楼价高企，标
准两层独立屋平均价格高达84.74万元，令有关按揭等与负担房屋的开支，佔一般家庭
收入的94%，其比例為全国最高。根据计算，家庭年收入必须高达16万元才能在温哥华
购买一间标准两层独立屋，亦是全国最高。
报告指出，过去几个月的欧洲主权债券危机对房屋负担的减轻，反而有帮助，报告分析
，主要原因是上半年一般预期下年度按揭利率将会调高，但由于欧债危机，令利率不仅
未调高，还略微减低，从今年第二季的5.6%，调低至第三季的5.3%。
报告指出，今年前两季房屋负担状况持续恶化，但欧债危机发生后，利率减低令今年第
