family doc said it means I am back to normal and doesn't have diabetes.
However the abnormal GTT means I have the diabete gene so I need to keep
exercise and diet.

瓶装普通胰岛素在大部分州是OTC (Novolin N, Novolin R, Novolin 70/30).需要用注
射器.可以在Walmart 买到. 10ml一瓶$25.(其他药房很贵, CVS $180 一瓶,太evil了.)
. 胰岛素放在药房里面,需要向药房工作人员购买.
胰岛素笔用的penfill 是处方药,美国没有处方买不到.
如果从国内带,一定要随身携带,不能托运.因为胰岛素冷冻后会失效.
另外这里药房买的药,保存的好,活性效力高.

Ree Steely 的diabetes center对孕妇的主打推荐就是:让孕妇服用一种治疗type-2
diabetes的药物.我在加拿大呆过,隐约记得孕妇只能使用胰岛素注射治疗.向我自己的
保险公司的Decision Power咨询,护士让我用胰岛素注射治疗,因为没有任何数据表明口
服药物对胎儿没有影响,而胰岛素注射治疗相对比较安全.
另外,医生不参与糖尿病的治疗, 完全由Diabetes Center的护士负责,不过处方还得医
生开,所以很奇怪.医生负责开处方,但处方上的剂量及如何使用由护士决定.

only give your my “guesses”:
I do not know what your “一点点糖尿病” means, but it looks like your mom
has type two diabetes. The Ulcer on your mom’s foot is very likely a “
diabetic foot ulcer” which may need antibiotic and surgery to drain the “
脓包”. 皮肤科医生 may not be able or willing to handle it by themselves.
Google “diabetic food ulcer”, you may learn a lot how to handle your mom’
s situation.

先说LZ的问题，OB这样说应该有道理的，如果LZ是怀孕初期，能不吃下东西，保证胎儿营
养是非常重要的，特别是初期有严重孕吐症状，吃大量的水果，总比什么都吃不下，需
要药物，严重的情况会dehydrate，然后入院输TPN的。所以这个要case by case. 不能
不清楚LZ的个人情况就定论大量水果对孕妇和胎儿不好。再提醒所有孕妇，孕期绝对不
能吃的东西不多，但什么东西都不要吃过量才好。等LZ过了艰难的孕吐期，再watch
sugar intake carefully。
然后说gestational diabetes。第一次见OB的时候应该会测血糖，如果第一次visit就
测出血糖高，不能叫gestational diabetes,那是overt diabetes，才该从一开始怀孕
就控制血糖。如果第一次见医生，血糖不高，那在24-28周测血糖之前，吃好吃营养，
孩子营养最重要，不建议宁愿饿肚子，也不吃唯一吃得下的水果。当然，如果没有孕吐
症状，多吃protein,少吃sugar是应该的。
