五， 周六就要party， party都是在外面的活动. 第一次party已经过了我才有时间检
查女儿的书包，才看到这个invitation。 这次倒是昨天晚上及时看见了，要求今天回
复，明天party.
我很疑惑，在外面的活动需要提前确定人头包场地吧(上次Chuck E Cheese's， 这次
skating)，怎么能到这么晚才发出邀请呢？而且想参加的话基本上没时间准备礼物啊。 |

math competitions up to AIME. Not really a top math competitor in the state
but good enough to be noticed by the school. The invitation letter
mentioned his math "talent". Already a Junior in a decent public school. We
are probably not going to transfer him to PA. I am just curious if other
students receive such invitation and whether they had a better chance than
average applicants. |

You are doing all the right things! However, one year may be too short. Once
you have a high-profile manuscript accepted, ask again to give an invited
talk.
In addition, when you publish papers, ask to be a co-corresponding author
with your PI and list your email. This way, you will receive many emails,
asking you to give talks, review manuscript, contribute manuscript, etc.
In the mean time, you may want to try some China-hosted conferences, where
