工作语言是SQL和SAS，Reporting语言是Cognos+VBA+MDX/SSRS,不过以上这些不会不要

篇文章是male breast cancer, 另一篇是female breast cancer。开始我没看清，想着
怎么同一篇发到两个期刊了。再仔细看是有区别的。
再看文章。两片一模一样的模式，一模一样的分析方法，只是在两个不同的数据运行了。
这是不是比你那个毒辣出了高度了？！
她开始读博士一年内发表的两篇。是10个月。都是用了最简单的统计方法。logistic
regression。她老板一直一来发一大堆灌水文章。每年年会都会招摇一下自己文章的数
量。
她的师姐两年2个月就交了博士论文，然后开始找工作，还没找到，据说打算回国了。
这就要夫妻两地了。看见她在办公室哭了好几次。可以想象她应该是非常努力想留下来
。这个师姐也是发了一大堆灌水文章，好像全都是 logistic regression。除了这个，
好像什么统计都不懂。
这是在德国，她们都是拿了中国政府的奖学金，反正老板不出钱，来了免费劳动力，干
多干少不care。他们都没有考过toefl gre。英语真的无法沟通。

valuation高我觉得可能有以下几个因素：
1. 就U本身来说，拥有未来做logistic的畅想空间。这个谁也没法能说定有多大，是个
x factor.
2. U revenue在最近融资前增长非常出色，ceo的谈话证实了这点
3. 在U融资之前，D, A, P都已经刚刚融过。私有市场上很多钱都想进来融uber －－市
场上promising的late stage且还没融过的已经不多了，所以是严重over-subscribed.
供求关系也决定了U肯定是个天价。
现在疑问是：你觉得18B只是follow在taxi industry的增长，还是logistic也factor
in了? 你个人觉得四年内 A 和U能涨多大？超出四年，对很多人个人意义不是太大了。
我觉得snapchat还是有因为在南加的原因，对硅谷有跟脚的人来说相当于all in，risk
多加一层。

简单介绍一下背景。非名校，非牛人，EE fresh Phd，machine learning方向，主要研
究理论和提一些方法。对做research很感兴趣。完全不觉得读PhD痛苦。相反经常自己
没事，周末去实验室做点事。主要目标在工业界找一个research type职位。这是自己
最主要的要求。因为必须是自己喜欢干的才能干的好，而且只要干好了，待遇也不会低
。个人对coding并不排斥，但是觉得coding只是一个工具，更重要的是要实现的内容。
已经有几年没用C和C++了，但是对自己的coding还是很有信心的，在国内工作过几年
SDE，觉得coding至少不是自己的弱项，虽然没有专门刷题练过。
老板很久前就说给一个PostDoc职位，可能也是因为这个，整个找工作的阶段自己心态
都很放松。6月开始正式找工作。8月下旬签offer。总共投了6、7家。面了两家G和A。

些tip的信息，觉得给还是要给些，但好像也没需要多少。这应该不包括安装的小费，
安装还是要花点时间的。
large furniture： 床，沙发，等一个人搬不了的都算吧
more challenging logistics：上楼staircase这该算吧？
当然也看你买的数量，单件和一整套差别还是挺大的。tip还是按件数考虑比较好些，
不好按人头算（“我家的都不安装，看来一个人给5～10就行了”）。不一起送，每次
就一两件，不需要多少tip。
