The attendings from different specialties such as Internal Medicine,
Anesthesia,Neurology, and OB/GYN will briefly presents the features of their
specialties and the requirement for the successful candidates. After the
questions were answered, mock interview will be followed in public. Comments

私立学校GPA inflation要比公立严重，同样用功，GPA高的可能性大。另外Iowa气候恶
劣，鸡不拉屎鸟不生蛋。

发帖数: 171 | 28 从UCB E的官网看，那些仅仅标记X的普通生物和普通化学不是Berkeley-Equivalent。
我选课时也看到不少课是在extension自己的校区，比如SF校区，授课老师多是SFTU的
，授课时间也是晚上及周末居多，基本可以认定是extension自己开的课。
看来我需要和AMCAS确定一下这个是不是属于acredited college.
不过UCB-X还提供了一个Health-Professions的Program，网页里介绍自己是个pre-med
似乎可以

因是着家医院就在家旁边，走路的距离。但比较胆怯，只在电视里看到过ER很紧张，不
知道自己能不能承担那样的压力， 但遇到几个ER 的护士说比普通FLOOR 要容易些。不
知道各位有什么建议，ER的护士都干些什么 ？ |

发帖数: 865 | 34 我在ER，没干过MED——SUR。 每天需要START-IV, 给药，GI-TUBE， FOLEY，ETC。 按
医嘱。不过节奏很快，几个小时打发一个病人。老护士说容易之处在于时刻有医生，不
需要动脑筋。坏处是太急，没有时间好好了解病人。忙的时候有人会帮你忙，你还没见
过那个病人就出院了。对外国人来说最难的是TAKE ORDER from hospital doctor. |

发帖数: 993 | 43 就是多写少写个DESIGN的差别吧？你是硕士还是博士？硕士可写可不写，多写不会给你
减分的（也不会加分），只要人家一问就能问出你的合成的水平；少写当然也不会减分
的，毕竟人家要你做的是合成。博士最好写上，博士要求知识要有高度和广度，本来就
是MED CHEM专业嘛。

从他以前的文章看出来。关于McAllen Vs El Paso, Mayo Clinics, Grand junctions
的文章是他最有影响力的一篇。
至于他有没有找到根本原因，我对这方面了解不深，所以也没有办法评价更多，但确实
是很有意思的发现。
医疗机构搞成walmart那样，如果能省钱，质量影响不大，我想政府肯定会强力推行的
。虽然我们不想，但很难避免，除非我们能找到证据有更好的办法。

surgery center的，1年半后考虑partnership。他们说我现在可以选择做employee（拿
w2），或者independent contractor (1099，会把他们应付给 employee的health
insurance的钱给我），或者我自己搞个med corporation。后两者可能有些费用可以免
税，但是研究了一段时间我还是一头雾水。哪位前辈给科普一下这些选择都有哪些优缺
点啊？多谢 |
