baseboard installation. It was so inaccurate and dangerous. The problem was
that there was no way to move the long baseboard along with the miter guild
even you have a extension. My point is that for safty and good results it is
worth having a miter saw than just a table saw if people need to miter/
bevel cut very long lumbers.

家里经常修修补补，需要切木头，院子里面需要搭个架子，修补下fence，做个planter
啥的，最近想在车库里面做几个storage shelf挂工具，然后就是想给娃做个木马
放客厅的家具是做不出来的，做出来ld也不准往客厅放。。。
手里有circular saw和jig saw，可惜圆锯还是精度差些，关键每次都得用clamp钳好
效率太低....
jig saw 12V的 还是不太给力 切个2X4都很吃力
最近想买锯, ld批的预算500刀，车库太小没有太多空间， 是买job site table saw还
是miter saw？
基本把帖子扫了一遍，木工大牛们基本推荐table saw，可以调整校准的地方多，算万

可惜kickback还是挺吓人,还要配各种jig， miter gauge 和outfeed table啥的 买的
话真心不便宜.... diy的话 还是花时间多，精度也不好控制

not know well. On a table saw, how can you push a really long board if you
want to miter cut it? that is the job for a miter saw (you fix the board and
move the blade to miter cut it).
I actually did use table saw to cut 12' baseboards for miter and bevel cuts.
But the results were not good because it was very hard to push the long
boards through the blade and extremely dangerous.

我的理解是：MITER只能切比较窄的CROSSCUTTING （就是有根长木板，你要横切）。如
果比较宽的木板，你很难一下子切完。如果有SLIDING，你可以把刀口往外来，接着切。
但是有人说SLIDING MITER SAW的精度一般没有MITER SAW好。
要是纵向锯较长的板子，还是TABLE SAW或者CIRCULAR SAW

但是装地板,如果说一定只能买一个电动工具,那么就买jig saw
我是买了jig saw,借了miter saw和circular saw,
miter saw和circular saw很有用,但是他们的工作jig saw都能完成,只是费时点
但是反过来不行,jig saw能干的,miter saw和circular saw是搞不定的
如果是装了地板,门底边要切一点的话,需一个jig saw or circular saw和自己用一根
金属t-bar做一个简单的直边guide来切长的直边 |

。 装地板做narrow ripping主要是边角的地方， 总的来说占面积不大， 虽然工作量
要大一些。
用TS55+MFT/3做cross cut， miter cut都是很方便的，而且也很安全。 地板大部分3,
4 ft.长， 所以用这个combo一点问题没有。 Miter saw用来corss/miter cut长木条才

if you want to replace old baseboards with new ones, it is good to have a
miter saw as well.
If you are good at circular saw, it it enough for hardwood floor DIY. But
you must be really good at circular saw (know how to rip cut straight long
boards) in a safe way (it is more dangerous for a new DIYer than a table saw
in my opinion). |

If you really want to save a wet saw, use a circ saw. Miter is kinda too
expensive to ruin on brick.
Place boards on a storage container, and a helper pointing a garden hose to
the cutting edge (The heat builds up quickly). Just a trickle, you
definitely don't want any splash.
There are something special on wet saws which you can't get from other saw.
1. It grinds, instead of rips.
2. It rotates much slower than others, for better grinding, and also slowing
down the heat build-up.

about $140. (Forget about this one if you are rich)
Works well (It's been 3 months. It could have be better if put a high end
saw bland.) You have to calibrate the saw (miter angle, bevel angle) before
use. Also, the manual is not that straightforward.
High end name brand equivalents cost almost 800 to 1000. |

table saw搞crosscut不是不行，但肯定没有miter saw准/安全。你是用手推着木头去
找锯片，不像miter saw那样是锯片找木头。而且小table saw（比如你说的这种）能不
能搞定长木板（aka地板）真心两说...
另外预算够的话table saw上个好点的吧（dewalt/bosch/甚至lowes那个delta/高富帅

，只能小心规划用心干活。
建议买台锯，基本上木工活儿都可以用它完成。可能一开始上手难些但等你第一个大项
目干完了也就玩儿熟了，如果先买MITER SAW这时候就显得累赘了。这时再买台锯，功
能上就有重合了，MITER SAW就白装备了。
DIYer买工具就就要买自己能承受范围内最好的，要不纯粹是和自己过不去，耽误工期
是小，被LD埋怨了，以后DIY就觉得没意思了。 |
