hehe, 还是你说的比较直接, 我看了他们关于NANOTUBE的一系列文章, 觉得就是把
高华键以前的一个模型(VIB MODEL)用在NANOTUE上,其实没什么新东西, 不过他们是
名校教授,所以不敢亡加评价啊, 呵呵
纳米里面别的东西我不太清楚, 就NANOTUBE这块来说, 就这么一根管子,
7,8年前已经把它的拉/压/弯/扭模拟的很清楚了, 力学特性可以研究的已经比较狭窄,
更何况其实并不需要力学的多少高深知识....
我说的自于自乐主要是觉得主流的纳米科学家可能根本不关心/需要 ME的人来做什么,
而ME的人做的东西, 就我目前看到的文章来说, 很难说能有多大意义有多大应用.
更大的可能是过几年又有别的东西热了, 大家一拥而上又转到那里去, 在NANO里只留下
一大堆文章数..... (以前的MEMS是不是也这样啊?)

researchers with a structure that looks just like a miniature sea urchin.
These structures, composed of vanadium oxide, roll up during the reaction to

作者有Strano,Smalley,和Tour三人。

没错,我是说1800nm的发射难以探测啊。吸收当然随便有个uv/vis/nir就都可以做了。
现在最著名的是CNT的band-gap fluorescence,其实最早发现的CNT荧光 -
luminescence - 便是大部分在可见区-延伸到近红外区(Riggs, et al. JACS, 2000,
122, 5879.),而且基本上是局限于功能化后的可溶纳米管。发现者Ya-Ping Sun博士
如此解释这visible luminescence的机理:
"These emissions may logically be attributed to the trapping of excitation
energy by defect sites in the nanotube structure, which are passivated upon
the appropriate functionalization of the nanotubes." (Lin, et al. JPCB,
2005, 109, 14779.)

又看到一篇graphene的paper. 请各位高人评点. 好像很多以前做nanotube的人转去做
graphene, 这东西真的比nanotube有前景? 这东东的aspect ratio不够吗,在机械性能
方面不理想吧?

本人现在申请EE的phD,选了一些微波的方向。
和一个教授谈了一下,教授说是要用carbon nanotube做微波应用,
比如做互连结构,微波导体结构,甚至天线之类的。
基本上也是从clean room做起,要做工艺生长carbon nanotube。
不知道这个方向的前景如何?
感觉文章应该能出一些,但是应用前景是不是很不明朗?
这个教授是说希望能开发工艺实现工业化应用,不知道以后工业界机会多不多。
我对这个不了解,恳请达人指点一下。

我们组一个博士在用C.Grimes 做的TiO2 nanotube on FTO, 1um 长 在1inchx1inch
的FTO 上,电镜图片很漂亮,做出来的device 效率也很高,感觉他们做的TiO2
nanotube array 肯定是能重复且高质量的。至于如何做的就不知道了。

最近很少写博文,尤其是长博文。今天是元旦,我谨代表我自己以及小小(还没有征求
她的意见呢)祝大家新年快乐、万事如意。不过我还是要吐槽一下。刚看到编辑部也专
门发帖祝福大家,但看到“科学网祝广大网友元旦快乐!”之后我还是被刺了一下,如
鲠在喉,不吐不快。科学网是科学网博主的科学网,在科学网博主面前,编辑部何德何
能代表科学网啊?当然,这又确实是中国现实的某种折射。
下面转入正题,今天我要讲的题目是“承认错误更需要底气”。承认错误需要勇气几乎
是一句口头禅。但是我们要知道,勇气其实来自于底气。下面讲两个例子(学习一下反
面教材的风格)。一个是高中学习期间的一个观察,一个是化学界的一件公案。
1、高中两位老师截然不同的做法
我高中的时候有两位老师,一位是化学老师,脑子似乎不太灵光,所以平时难免有些错
误出现,但是他的习惯处理就是哧溜一下过去,从来不见他大方承认错误。另外一个是
数学老师,脑子很得转,但偶尔也有卡壳的时候,这个时候他会大方承认自己的错误或

我们实验室是做polymer的,但我的项目是nanotubes,我的rotation就是做
bioevaluation of the nanotubes on cancer cells, 一般来说就是测细胞毒性,
cellular uptake什么的. 我老板就说我的项目跟transportation有很大关系, 但我个
人不十分清楚transportation是干什么的. 不知有没有前辈能指点迷津?
还有, 请问楼上为什么觉得transportation不受见待呢? 是这块方向在industry里不好
就业么? 请指教.在下不甚感激.
马上就要和老板正式谈课题了,得准备一会...

好蛋啊,这就是你不淡定了。一开头明明指明是民歌。顶多算是修辞手法罢了。这个科
普文章被误读不是科学家的错啊。吹大牛的多了去了,也没被这么骂的。当年搞
nanotube的文章,动不动就说为下一代的电子器件开辟了道路,没见哪个审稿人有意见
的。神马生物计算机啊,光计算机的,吹的都是天花乱坠的,也没见哪个founding
agent告谁诈骗。何必为钱老这事情这么激动呢?

喔,TiO2这个东西啊?TiO2 nanotube 也不是啥新鲜玩意,早就见过了。他的那个结论
满奇怪的,明明是紫外光下TiO2有超强氧化性啊(是某种晶体结构下,TiO2常见的晶体
结构不止一种),按说把methane氧化成CO2还差不多,怎么就反过来成了光合作用了呢
?他09年那篇nanolett没看过,不过我知道那段时间TiO2挺热火的,这下他可害惨不少
人了,跟当年Schon一样。
不过,这个不是吹牛许愿,是伪造结果骗钱,还是不一样的。

中国最需要的还是在能源和材料产业上取得重大突破,争取用核聚变能源和高储能电池
取代汽油、柴油和煤油,用carbon fiber/carbon nanotube/polymer取代钢铁和塑料,

史大崔屹率團隊 研發透明電池

史丹福大學材料科學與工程助理教授崔屹(Yi Cui)繼2009年研發出「紙電池」之後,
近來成功推出「透明電池」(Transparent Battery)。崔屹與史丹福大學幾位研究生
的報告,刊登在25日的「美國科學學會發展雜誌」(Proceedings of the National
Academy of Sciences,www.pnas.org)
崔屹指出,現在幾乎所有消費產品都有透明的裝置,包括平板電腦、智慧手機介面、數
位相框,那為何沒有透明的電池?
崔屹於2009年帶領研究團隊,以普通的影印機用紙,將加入「奈米碳管」(Carbon
Nanotubes),以及「奈米銀線」(Silver Nanowires)的墨水,放入烤箱中烘乾,捲

其材料制备方法常常以化学合成为主,所以发此类文章的也大多以化学专业为背景。相
对于工业界所用之thin film薄膜设备,此类文章所用之方法一个最大的特点或“优势
”是成本低,制备简单,可以短时间+流水线作业让学生通过简单训练即可快速刷文章。

DARPA项目,MIT研发,用的是90nm制程工艺。

而且以后还可以update到65nm及以下制程工艺,做到密度更大速度更快, 目前这一技
术已经引起高通的注意,其CEO说:“They say they have to be at the leading
edge. Now we could potentially be relevant to them.”

这是一种说法,但是也有说法是三哥做成乌兹钢锭,运到中东,做成大马士革钢刀。
18世纪交通断绝后就失传了,如果只是打刀的技术问题,不会因为没有这种钢就不能打
造相同的刀。据研究,大马士革钢刀中有nanowires and carbon nanotubes。
