systems neuroscience。
之前也一直在关注B版各种有关生物博士出路问题，本身对neuroscience较感兴趣，但是
看了诸多贴之后有些动摇。自身感觉目前国内systems neuroscience领域发展较美帝为
落后，若选择此offer后的初步打算是PhD&PostD后回国寻找faculty职位。

我是bme背景，由于目前被rutgers催答复，特来请教一下offer选择问题。Rutgers的导
师是Gyorgy Buzsaki，曾经在他实验室待过两个月，人不错，科研也很好，所有match的
教授中应该说他最牛了。但是rutgers（newark）综合排名低，专业排名也不高。
Brandeis的中意导师是John Lisman；UMN BME的话以后向工业界发展会比较容易，现在
纠结与是否要从了Rutgers。

学习生物学最好的方法，其实是跟着科学发现史的顺序跟着走一遍，这个
访谈list就是这个用处。
虽然现在早不搞这些了，但是看到这些以前很熟悉的名字，和他们谈自己的经历，
还是觉得很庆幸，自己在二十多岁年轻最好的时候，有一些科学的理想，做了一些
有趣的研究，而不是在公司的梯子爬上爬下，跟左边右边的人斗来斗去，把钱搬
过来搬过去。。
前一阵子有一天去了曼哈顿的一个绕岛一周的游轮活动，船上几百全都是刚过来

旁边的ION(institute of neuroscience)有大牛muming poo，所以对神经生物学特别着谜
，想转到molecular and/or cellular neuroscience的研究。不知道美国什么样的实验室
适合我去做postdoc，网上各位ggjj,ddmm能否给推荐一二？偶想实在不行，到美国再读ph

faculty中有多少,or将会有多少,徒子徒孙? 他啥也没有, 凭什么说他是顶级大牛? 咱
不把政治和科学混为一谈,可也不把科学和宗教凑一块
neuroscience方向确实很多,牛人也很多,但牛人的成就也是有高低的.所以才开个帖子

两个杂志，
哪个好点？或者说，在neuroscience领域，哪个口碑更好？
我的老板的观点是，虽然JN的IF低，但是它比PNAS更好，我也有同感。大家的看法呢？ |

这是因为前者和医生离得更近。这个道理很显然。
neuroscience的phd的可以发cell neuro 甚至NS --但我个人认为价值不大 --大部分是
在扯蛋 不如 JAMA-neurology/psychiatry 和 lacent -neurology 以及 专业临床期刊
比如Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia, schizophrenia bulletin 等等

发帖数: 587 | 44 我也基本赞同，从现实funding的角度，跟疾病联系起来的研究也是会容易生存一点。
但你说的什么JAMA-neurology是完全的临床杂志。Neurology的PhD也是锁定什么neuron
，nature neuroscience。
我的问题是，neurology的那些做基础的PhD，第一他们发不了JAMA-neurology；第二他
们也很多也发不了neuron（although they are supposed to），而是发很多我觉得很
crap的工作。但依然可以survive，是沾了disease/neurology的光吗？但这样对
neuroscience的人就很不公平了 |

usually one takes >5 year to graduate...
I don't recommend neuroscience or neurology...
it's bbbbbbbbbbbbbooooooooooooooooring!
My advice to you, go straight to a medical school (no matter what or at
where)...or a podiatry school...
There are easy ways: marry a citizen or become a citizen; contribute and
earn some credit, such as social services; finally apply for the school...It
