Hi, I mailed all the documents to Canada Consular in LA two weeks ago. I
didn't receive any confirmation or notification or whatever telling me it
has been recieved and has been processed.
(I knew it was delivered by USPS notification only).
Is it normal? Can you share your experience? You will receive your visa in
mail w/o any notification prior to?

Hi, I mailed all the documents to Canada Consular in LA two weeks ago. I

Go to general settings > notifications and Alerts>email notifications.

需要两个程序直接切换的时候就开。
还有如果一个程序在背景运行不需要不断做什么事情，只是idle在那里等待，也不连接
网络，也不怎么耗电。需要网络背景运行的push notification就可以了。
现在iPhone OS需要一个单独的app来查看所有的push notification。现在的机制太不
完善，一旦notification多了直接就lost了。 |

发帖数: 641 | 12 如果你说的是notification，那么就到setting - notification里面把那些apps都关掉。
如果你说的是location service，那么就到 setting - location service里面关闭。
很多app的设置在seteeing里面，往下拉就能找到。比如facebook，就有push
notification的选项可以关闭。
其他app的设置都在程序界面里面。 |

发帖数: 3529 | 14 其实我也不是太清楚，就随便聊聊，错了请轻拍砖。
先说说原因吧，其实就是多任务的引起的。
后台的service，wedget,notification
运行唤醒之后总会让电流会超过50ma。
有一些写的不好的就会一直保持高电流，电池
就刷刷的没了。
以前ios没有多任务（ios4不算完全意义上的),
没notification,所以上面的问题不是问题。
这就是为什么长期一来iphone的待机时间长的原因。
有了notification之后大家就扯平了。
不过因为ios在多任务方面经验应该不足，
所以情况比android严重的多。
板上有人反映关掉某些service或者cellar data
电池就好了。这应该是验证了我的猜测的。

发帖数: 708 | 15 1、字典(Look up)：在safari或者很多程序里面，用三个指头点一下不认识的单词，就
可以查字典了。再去Dictionary & Speech李里面打开Speak selected text...配合使
用，对看英文网站帮助比较大。
2、iMessage：用来给ios设备发短消息，可以附带图片、录像，无需注册。个人觉得这
个比微信传图片效果好多了，微信传的图片跟录像被压缩的那效果真是一个惨不忍睹。
3. Notification Center：综合所有notification。可惜有些app需要保持打开才能接
受notification，比如mail。
3、Safari里面的gesture跟Reader，虽然这些功能在ML之前就有了，但是是在是好用，
忍不住再提出表扬。配合Adblock跟ClickToFlash插件速度更上一层楼。不过它的缺点
也有，就是没法记住每个网站的缩放设置，关闭窗口下次进同一个网站字还是那么小，
还要缩放一次，好像要装某个plugin才支持。这个功能在FF里面支持的很好，Chrome里
也有但不如FF的好。
大家有啥觉得好用的也不妨交流一下。 |

* 怎么把calendar的notification sound关掉？ 我已经在setting-》notification里
面把calendar的4个条目的notification sound都是设置成None，可是还是有提醒声音。 |

发帖数: 284 | 17 总的感觉是IOS就是个烧钱的玩具，对俺们码工来说有不少缺憾：
1.没有Back键
比如说你用Chrome从page1跳到page2然后再从Safari从page3跳到page4，现在你想回到
page1。办法是你按home键，从一堆icon里找到Chrome，按browser的back键。当然你也
可以用multitask从一堆open的app里找到Chrome。要是Android，back键在最底下固定
地方，闭眼按三次就可以了。这个只是用browser来举例。实际情况是用其他的app，它
们有的有back键但不是固定的位置，有的根本没有back键，这种情况时就悲剧了。
Android只要按back键就好了。
2.Notification
你得从上往下划两下，同一个app有两个notification就不一定看到了。比如说你正在
用WeChat跟A聊天，这时B，C,D跟你打招呼。你就听到咕咚声，不知道谁谁谁和说什么
。你得退出跟A的聊天，分别进入B，C,D才能知道说什么。而实际情况往往是A是个群，
有几百个conversation，我要是退出，重新回来时，这楼都不知道从哪里爬起；如果... 阅读全帖 |

The easiest solution would be to write a file in a
notification area of each node. And job do processes
keep checking those notification areas on the file system.
Another way is to run a web server on each node and
use sockets for better realtime performance.
Large data should be shared on disk. Small amount of
data put in notification messages (on disk or via socket.) |

去了，就是confirm不了，一星期了都是如此，我感觉是不是别人手脚更快？
-有可能别人比你快，也有可能系统有点问题，因为前两天也有同学说confirm不了，不
过不知道他（她）在schedule哪门考试。另外，如果confirm不了的话，就算你跑到当
地等也没用啊，最后不是还是要在网上schedule吗
我家有sprint和tmobile的，但是从gmail设置text message的时候，它先要
发一个confirmation code，我们就是收不到，因为那个confirmation email太长了，
超过了手机短信规定的长度，很奇怪，难道别人就没有同样问题吗？
-不知道sprint和tmobile, verizon没有问题的。
ecfmg的 email notification 直接发到手机短信的那个邮箱不可以吗？一定要
通过gmail吗？
-既然说是email notification就是发email了，而不是text message. 对于ecfmg来说
，可能技术上设置自动email notification更容易，另外，text me |
