我也说两句:
(Disclaimer again: 我绝不是Tom Brady的球迷(虽然他是我的校友, 呵呵).
如果NE最后没有赢超级碗, 而且是因为Brady chokes with 3 Ints,
那就最好, to hell with 19-0.)
(1) QB =/= Passer, 就像Running Back =/= Runner一样.
讲起pure runner, Barry Sanders的地位至少是不低于第二的;
但是考虑到跑锋还有留下来保护QB与冲出去接球两个任务,
而且在很多进攻体系中这比他自己跑本身还要重要, 他就没有那么显赫了.
(Bill Walsh就说过在他的西岸攻势中,
RB的任务按重要性排是先要能接球,然后能保护, 最后才是自己能跑.)
现在的Blitz和Short-passing game比以前多多了, RB的多样功能也更加重要.
QB也一样, 要说最出色pure passer, 看那些踏旗档啦, 总码数啦, 等等的统计,
Dan Marino绝对应该是第二甚至第一了.

However, since passer rating is only measuring the passing part of the QB,
not including the rushing, the sacks, the fumble, ect., calling it QB rating
is a bit misleading. Therefore people usually call it passer rating.
ESPN invented their own formula called total QB rating, or QBR, trying to
