非神职的在某些机构当政委也有称呼pastor的,如教牧,他们不专为某个教会服务,所有
替上帝传教的都叫传道人,或叫牧者,迷途的羊(人类)的带领者
在天主教和安立甘等等级较为严格的体制里,叫什么比较讲究,比如bishop, pastor,
reverend etc.
长老本身未必是神职人员,而是类似董事会,会长一般与牧师是独立的,而只是会众(教区
的congreration)选出council的头,这个词从古希腊的presbyteros,类似元老院,英文是
office of elders,他们负责教会的财务和管理,任命和招募辞退牧者
在摩门教等其他异教,长老是master,是会众里地位较高的人,比如丐帮,好象是看谁袋袋

GAYLORD — A former Gibbon pastor has been found guilty of sexually abusing
a 16-year-old girl.
A Sibley County District Court jury Friday found David Radtke, 52, guilty of
two counts of third-degree and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual
conduct.

Miami police have arrested a 60-year-old pastor who is being accused of
putting his hands in the pants of a sleeping 11-year-old boy in April.
According to the police report, Jose Campos, the pastor of Ministerio Nueva
Vida En Cristo Jesus Church, was arrested Tuesday after the boy told a
teacher about the incident.

if it is your calling, I think demand for chinese speaking pastors in US
exceeds the supply. Our church has been searching for an assistant pastor
for about a year now (current pastor is about to his retirement). |
