的两颗珍珠，但是O'lan的人物
形象在赛珍珠的笔下真是栩栩如生，刻画地非常生动。《The Good Earth》发表于1931
年，年代很久了可是却依然打
动了无数读者，包括我。作者是一位美国女士－赛珍珠(Pearl Buck l892-1973)女作家
。本名珀尔·赛登斯特里克·布
克。赛珍珠是她自己起的中文名字。Pearl的童年成长在中国，后受美国大学教育又重
返中国，于1927年离开中国4年后
她用英文发表了将当时的中国农村大环境以及农民生活生动地描述给整个世界的《The
Good Earth》并因此获得诺贝尔
文学奖和普利策奖。所以文字的力量是不可估量的。
之所以要想写写O'lan和Wanglong之间的感情过往是因为我个人认为这是贯穿整个故事
的轴线，是最能打动我的部分，很可能也是作者最想描述的爱情，可惜有人不是这样认
为，甚至有的人觉得O'lan和Wanglong之间根本就没有爱情，这多少让我觉得有点诧异

买房，是你的需要，当各方面条件成熟的时候，你就会决定买房了。但是，买什么样的
房子，却是你人生观的最好体现。
我的情况是，我才工作，其实也不算什么工作，一个月拿到手的就2000块钱整，太太倒
是工作了三年，小公司，比我多，一个月到手的也才3000块。一个月才5000块，都不赶
老王一个人挣得多，老王是我多年的朋友，不算老王，他太太一年就四万多。下面我要
提到老王。人活着为什么，不就为着自己舒服嘛。为了钱，自己折磨自己在我看来是不
值的。钱可以再挣，可人能活多长时间？80岁够了？再老，你就只能天天吃烧白，连回
锅肉都咬不动了。
在休斯顿买房，第一要选区。糖城，Pear Land和Katy，还可以再加一个医疗中心，就
是百利高中地区的房子。至于woodland, clear lake等等，由于离工作单位实在太远，
就不在考虑范围之内。
首先排除的是Pear Land，为什么？Pear Land的优点在于房子新，价位适中，交通方便
。 缺点是学校校区新，排名暂时没有建立起来，并且新房子还在扩建，地皮有很多，
