来说都是很头痛的一个问题，我在最初的时候也很烦恼。但是有一点我想先澄清一下，那
就是不要觉得电话面试只有我们外国人才头痛，其实一般的美国人也都为这个困扰着。所
以啊，我们首先要树立信心。
首先我想先说说电话面试的种类。大致来说可以把phone interview根据who conducts分
成2个大类: HR or Hiring manager. 这两类面试的内容侧重不同，我在后面再慢慢分析
。而这两类又可以细分成两类：structured or unstructured. 顾名思义，structured
phone interview 就是HR or Hiring manager 事先准备好了很多的问题， 给你电话面试

多，但主要是windows phone 为主,现在windows phone 坏了，只能用iphone。
对iphone 很不爽的是
相机，拍照的效果和按键的方式， iphone的设计很一般， 镜头在角上经常手会进入镜
头，拍照键在中间，有些情况下必须2个手配合拍照，windows phone 的快门键就是屏
幕， 还有专门的快门键，方便很多。
输入法，屏幕大小限制按键大小，除此之外，很多快捷键也是windows phone更便捷,和
人比较过， 输入速度明显wp 快。
系统整合性， windows phone和win8的整合性很高，特别是onedrive和office 365.
iphone 和ios从软件和硬件都没有明显的巨大优势， 只是app生态系统更全， 随着时
间的推移windows phone 会更多进入人们的生活。
屏幕： lumia920的屏幕太结实了， 要不是进了海水， 把主板腐蚀了，估计我会一直

他家是按照组面的，面试流程很长，3轮phone + 6轮onsite，所以前后七个星期。
我面的是ArcGIS Server组，题目难度偏低，主要是culture fit + 聊天。
第一轮phone，问了stock I，strstr，Leetcode原题。
第二轮phone，特别简单，一个int数组求和。另一题是在[0, m]的随机数范围内产生[1
, n]个不重复的随机数。
第三轮phone，纯聊天，和一个Product engineer聊天。他家的product engineer相当
于QA。
两个星期后，收到onsite邀请。公司在redlands，位于LA东边，靠近Riverside。整个
onsite长达四天，第一天到达，第二天面试，第三天可以多逗留一天，访问当地社区，
逛一逛之类，第四天离开。
Onsite的每轮面试都是两个面试官。
Onsite第一面，ArcGIS组的VP，主要是问问简历，聊天，问了两个简单的rest设计题。

interview开始做起，因为phone interview大部分都是一个人，就是你说了算，说你行
你就行。不象on site许多人参与，有可能你说了好话也没用（老板不同意或者有一票
否决制）。并且phone interview只是第一步，就算这个人真的烂，自然会被on site那
一步据掉，并不会有太大不良后果。另外，老中往往英语不好，或不善表达，再加上紧
张害羞等因素，phone interview很可能会无法完全发挥。如果能给他/她多一次机会，
来到on site也许face to face谈话会表现得好得多。最后，phone interview一般就一

Seems like a good deal to me.
Looks like it is good for any phone with the four major carriers. AT&T,

发帖数: 1734 | 36 我在申请teaching school。进入short list之后phone interview,感觉背景就不是那么重要了。前面进行了几个phone interview, 觉得背景和职位要求挺match的，但是phone interview的时候某个问题回答不好，比如“What is your weakness?”马上就悲剧了。上周的一个phone interview，职位要求和我并不是很match,我觉得没啥希望。于是phone interview的时候进行了不常规的回答，两次惹得search committee members大笑，结过居然今天接到onsite的通知。Phone interview就是一joke。
我对这个学校没有报希望。因为背景不match。我第一次引人发笑是：
问：举出你最喜欢教的两门课？
我的回答：我看了你们系开的课，这些课很好。我可以告诉你我最不想教的两门课。其它的我都喜欢教。这两门是***,XXX。我很头痛这两门课。马上有个search committee member说他也不喜欢，然后大家就大笑。
