要看RMS额定功率,如果没标注的通常就是PMPO,即峰值音乐输出功率。PMPO定义比较
乱,是瞬时功率,有的甚至是计算峰峰值(这个非常faint,但是,是真的!),又不
考虑失真,并没有太大的意义,其实是无良厂商标出来骗消费者说这音箱功率很大很大
,绝大部分电脑音响采用这种标注。下面是几个RMS和PMPO比较的例子,有的是厂商同
时标出来的。最后一个philips的比较搞,估计是dealer看着10瓦也太难看了点,如果
不把PMPO加上去的话,一个也卖不出去 ^_^

PMPO
Peak Music Power Output (PMPO) (sometimes misused in advertising as Peak
momentary performance output) is a much more dubious figure of merit, of
interest more to advertising copy-writers than to consumers. The term PMPO
has never been defined in any standard but it is often taken to be the sum
of some sort of peak power for each amplifier in a system. Different
manufacturers use different definitions, so that the ratio of PMPO to
continuous power output varies widely; it is not possible to

同意你RMS是音箱连续工作能承受的功率,但是还有PMPO.PMPO是音箱可以到的最大短时
间功率,不能长时间使用。长时将在RMS下工作,理论上应该是没有问题的。当然实际
上因为某些器材的材料或者质量,可能是达不到这个标准。
我关心的主要是功率匹配的问题,如果你receiver 50w,那你买100w的speaker就是浪
费,因为你发挥不出100w的效果。反过来,如果你买个200w的speaker,那你就不能买
只能输出50w的receiver。

Onkyo的标称功率和实际功率输出上有差距
如果说Harman Kardon标100W,能出100W
也许NAD标50W,能出100W
可是Onkyo标100W,能出50就不错了
现在都是多声道的,然后还拼命夸大PMPO
还是原来两声道的那些Solid的东西来的实在

review里面说工作距离大概400米,我觉得不惊讶,
monarch的800大概是理想工作条件下测强反射物的指标
大概和PMPO异曲同工
