和老婆分开快三年。。。看了一下，发现maryland的hagerstown有个volvo powertrain
的很对口，只是没有人认识，想看看版上有没有在里面工作的知道内部有招人啥的。。。
其实本人做了多年mechanical system design, performance, and development，只要
机械相关的应该都可以胜任，大家帮帮忙吧～～～

axles and differentials are belongs to chassis ba.
I didn't include MT at first since it's not electric controlled. with a second
thought I think MT should be included. Just when I was in Powertrain dept,
there was no position for MT engineers. |

为赶着回家，就在当地一个dealer检查了一下，花了100多。本来想自己换一下，回来
一看powertrain是五年保修，这个检查的钱是不是应该可以要回来？维修是不是也免费

发帖数: 12461 | 16 powertrain一般是5年吧。这种warranty比bumper to bumper差不少，但是比
powertrain的强一点，所以你这个6年的就相当于1年powertrain外加3年附件。
例如估计附件每次service $200/powertrain 每次service $500，每年每项目1次visit
，然后扣掉每次visit的deductible，例如4x$100/visit，这就是$700。如果是7年的，
那就是2年powertrain和4年附件，6次visit，这就是$1200。
当然前提是用的原厂配件。所以原厂保修最好，最好还带road service和租车的。这个
每年值$20，3年就是$60。
但是有三个catchup：
第一个是有些service算tuning不算repair，这个就看dealer怎么黑心了。
第二个是保修只管新车的部件。后来换上的几乎没有这个待遇。
第三个是如果出了车祸，这钱可能就打水漂了。所以最后的价格上再打个9折差不多。 |

每次大约需要多少银子修车?
每年需要修几次?
尤其是7~10年以后的修车问题.
我拿了终生保修的价格表.
终生保修分三类,

发帖数: 1013 | 33 我的大致情况是：夫妻二人，两个宝宝，10个月大，现有一辆ford focus。需要再买一
辆，上下班用。本来上星期差点也跟风买了Routan，结果最后一秒钟被LG否决，因为和周围的同时聊，说Routan口碑很不好，网上review也不好，尤其是powertrain和reliability部分评价不好。LG向来是个谨慎的人，觉的修车钱是次要的，这个买warranty可以cover，但是老把时间花在修车上折腾不起，还有这么关键的东西质量不好safety上也担心。虽然省这么多钱是难得机会，但是不愿意牺牲safety和reliability。所以决定放弃。要选一个powertrain system和reliability一定要好，其它可以差一点的。（补充一下，我这里绝不是认为买了Routan的同学的决定不对，这些纯粹是LG自己的风格，有时候有些overconcern了。我觉的其实差也不会差到哪里去，要不Routan早就停产了。）
本来我们看minivan也就是因为Routan的价格太吸引人，现在否决了Routan，minivan就

以后的车主都还是有5 yrs/60k mile的powertrain warranty的。
所以你这个5 year/60k bumper to bumper warranty说得不全，让人容易误解成：二手
sonata就只有bumper to bumper warranty，而二手camry和accord就有powertrain
warranty。

发帖数: 17565 | 37 你爸的话说的很有道理，对于一个四十年的老司机——因为他开的车应该大都是很老的
车。
如果你买一辆新bmw，在3-7万迈之间powertrain出大毛病的概率太低了。即使
powertrain有毛病用到了保险，十有八九也是小题大做而已，比如有点烧机油就要求整
个发动机拆开检查这种，即使没有保险凑合开也没问题的。而且开luxury car的精髓就
是花钱买享受，所以很少有人冲着七年去保养，大都lease3年换新车。
我觉得powertrain warranty也就是对口碑不好的款型有价值，比如honda odyssey，有
transmission容易坏的历史。
补充一条：如果大批bmw发动机或tranny在3-7万迈之间坏了，十有八九是会被召回的，
比如335的HPFP问题 |

良，什么水泵，车窗电机，发电机之类。所以powertrain warranty尤其不适合bmw。
相反powertrain warranty最适合honda，因为honda各方面都很好，但有transmission
出问题的历史，加上一个powertrain warranty是有的放矢。 |

昨天去新开的一家Tesla体验店仔细的看了看Model S，特意关注了装配的细节，发现
Model S在装配上确实和同档次的德车日车相差甚远，倒是很符合美国车的特点，就是
大条，不细致，不精益求精。
Model S的设计还是很赞的，可是仔细看，用料和装配质量上有很大的问题。举几个简
单的例子：
1）前后车窗的银色frame接缝处对的不齐。店里两辆车，四个解封可谓远近高低各不同。
2）前trunk和左右fender的接缝宽窄不一，甚至有一边靠近前保险杠处还漏出了里面的
防水橡胶。
3）车门一打开，好家伙，一大块黑乎乎的板，看起来好像是皮的，摸起来手感却象塑
料。
4）皮dashboard，摸起来也象塑料。
5）stitches摸起来特别硬，有点划手。
6）中控那个大触摸屏下面什么都没有，空荡荡的，开车时如果把胳膊搭在中间的储物
盒上方，会感觉胳膊要掉下去。

发帖数: 15913 | 45 ford的E150~350其实就是在F150~350基础上改来的，共用了powertrain，轮胎也是卡车
胎，这就使E系列van很经糟，contractor一般都用这种车；
sienna、odyssey这种迷你万其实就相当于tacoma之类的中型卡车，只要用tacoma的
powertrain和轮胎，迷你万会很经糟，可惜本田没这实力，丰田要拧毛巾，一定要把轿
车的powertrain用在迷你万上，这是小马拉大车，出问题是很正常的。 |

这个DEALER有Lifetime/Unlimited Mileage Powertrain Warranty。拒绝BEAT其他
DEALER的报价。
和我这么解释这个WARRANTY的：
That is how we beat the other offers we give our customers a lifetime
unlimited mileage warranty on your engine, transmission, and all wheel drive
mechanical components following the manufactures powertrain warranty and
because it is a real warranty you don't need to bring your Subaru here for
service as there are no strings attached you just follow the manufactures
