俺的工作涉及把TSQL stored procedure code转成PL SQL, 有的 TSQL stored
procedure 有两三千行代码，好几个TEMP tables, 如果PL SQL 不用TEMP table,就只
能用 Associative Array or nested table, 处理数据，最后写到表里，中间过程不用
TEMP table,都在memory内。
Stroed procedure 的功能就是把几个millions records 级别的表join在一起，做一些
很简单判别，加减，再写进原来的表或不同的表。
这样的stored procedure有20多个，用linux cron job,每晚跑一次。
如果PL SQL stored procedure 用TEMP table, 转变从TSQL到PLSQL就很容易。不用的
话，大的stored procedure还是挺complex的。 |

我现在做一个project。源代码丢在办公室的电脑上了。今天贴不了。
我的Java程序中connect到一个database，然后执行另外一个同学写的stored
procedure。这个stored procedure是update这个database中的一个table的。可是这个
stored procedure怎么也不work。而且也没有给出来任何出错信息。
用我的程序可以执行其他的query和stored procedure 的query（只要没有update的都
可以）。我确定这个也不是权限问题。
请问Java在执行一些有update的stored procedure是不是有些trick呢？谢谢大虾们指

But my main problem is that I am using this stored procedure in ASP.NET.
My goal for database access is that only ASPNET account can execute the stored
procedure. NO other permission allowed in this web-database connection. When I

发现http://www.boobooke.com/bbs/thread-272667-1-1.html （播布客）的oracle的这一套视频非常强大，但是我想学的是T-SQL的，找了下，网上也搜索了下，要么就是很基本的T-SQL的教程，我都会了，要么就是针对某个具体问题的Stored procedure的某个人的博客的讲解。
请问有没有比较系统的T-SQL stored procedure的教程？书籍和网络视频都行
我想学的几个方面是
1. scheduled job with notificaitons, alerts, including data ETL,
generating reports,
2. scheduled backup, mirroring, and replication
我也不是太懂，有些术语乱写的，大概就是这一类的自动化作业相关的Stored

solution was to recompile the timed out store procedure.
And then it was discovered there was a job in previous version to recompile
this store procedure regularly which got left out in the new version.
I wonder when do we need to recompile a store procedure? Can the DaNiu here
help to explain when we should expect to recompile a store procedure
regularly(when table structure/index not changing)? |

为了防止这个procedure fail（比如table_b不存在之类的情况...)，我想放一个error
handler在这个statement里面，我不在乎到底是什么error,只要上面那个Insert
statement fail了（或者说这个sp fail了？），就往另外一个table添加一条类似Log
的记录Insert into table_c (column1,column2) values (P_1,current date)
想请教各位大牛这个code我该怎么写，从来没写过error handler的东西，网上查了很
久，仍旧是一片雾水，连应该放在这个insert statement前面还是后面还是专门写一个
error handler的sp都没想明白。

发帖数: 118 | 18 一般每个program在毕业前都会要求resident完成些procedure.比如我们这里5个IJ,5个
A-line,5个胸穿，5个腰穿，3个腹穿，3个关节穿刺和5个pap smear.
建议刚开始的intern们作procedure前，一定要看好NEJM的录像，讲的简明易懂。下面
只是本人的一点体会，希望大家一起讨论。
先讲讲central line,只是在ICU必做的procedure,分为femoral,IJ,subclavian,因为
femoral line的高感染率，除了紧急情况，一般不会首选，我本人比较喜欢IJ,特别是
有超声波，成功率超过90%。无论做那种作之前都要摆好病人体位，找一个自己最舒服
的姿势，刚开始最爱忘的是saline flush，最好和护士和你的上级事先讲好，不要等到
换好衣服后才想起来。我的习惯是做procedure前把needle,guidewire都从kit里拿出来
按顺序摆放好，做完后第一件事就是扔掉所有的sharps.如果不养成好的习惯，很容易
被针扎到。如果你的senior是个急性子，你也要沉住气。越是紧张越容易出事。

Build a meta table stores the information you want.
Write logging stored procedured inside your stored procedure to provide
detailed logging.
Run another job at the same time or use DTS/SSIS to scan the meta table and
logging, then send you an result email once a while or after certain steps

casebook -- you'd feel hopelessly lost. |

macro is just a bunch of procedures. It does not NECESSARILY help you
implement any logic.
I suggest you find a sample macro and a sample procedure and show them to

化。现在参加工作有Aetna PPO的保险。
今天去了一家innetwork的诊所，检查下来确实做implant的好，医生是个50多岁的白人
，把我refer到另外一个医生做implant，其余的procedure 他来做。
在谈费用的时候问题来了，implant只报50%我没意见，但其它的
procedure 比如crown也只能报50%，说是dental implant crown和普通的crown不一样
，普通的crown可以报80%，dental implant crown只能50%， 我是第一次也不了解情
况，这个合理不？
我看了下可能总共费用4-6K了，有没有可能把费用降下来？
Update：医生说我的情况是textbook procedure，所以有人建议我去学校牙学院的
牙周科找2,3年的住院生会便宜很多，2300全部，保险貌似可以报一半，这样下来就很
便宜了。。
那这样做有没有什么不好的地方？ |

化。现在参加工作有Aetna PPO的保险。
今天去了一家innetwork的诊所，检查下来确实做implant的好，医生是个50多岁的白人
，把我refer到另外一个医生做implant，其余的procedure 他来做。
在谈费用的时候问题来了，implant只报50%我没意见，但其它的
procedure 比如crown也只能报50%，说是dental implant crown和普通的crown不一样
，普通的crown可以报80%，dental implant crown只能50%， 我是第一次也不了解情
况，这个合理不？
我看了下可能总共费用4-6K了，有没有可能把费用降下来？ |

My PERL script is written in Object Oriented Programming
style; it called another perl script which is written in procedure style.
However, it failed. I guess if the reason is about the compatibility of
the 2 programming styles.
I wonder if both script must be written in same programming style: either
procedure or OO?

只用STORED PROCEDURE，够不够？
我的意思是程序中不出现SELECT 。。。，一切数据库操作都是
对STORED PROCEDURE的调用，可不可以？会有什么问题？

Depends on what you need them for.
1: If you need a lot of interactive actions between your database and the
server, it is better to write the application in C/Perl/Java/whatever
language you are familiar with.
2: Otherwise, stored procedure runs faster. I dont know about in other DBs,
but Oracle's store procedure has a pretty well defined control structure in
which you can pretty much do everything you need to do .
3: You can not have DDL in stored proecedure body. That is a drawback. |
