这枚铁钉对加拿大华社具有重大历史意义。加拿大太平洋铁路(Canadian Pacific Railway)于1885年修筑完成，数以千计华工当年曾经参与修筑加拿大太平洋铁路。而加拿大太平洋铁路竣工活动时向政要及铁路人员所颁发300枚仿制品铁钉，获赠者全是白人，参与兴建铁路的15,000华工却没有一个获邀参加这项活动。

每读一次就不得不再次感慨当时立国之父们的英明及远见。他们在北美这块土地上，抛
弃了大不列颠的君王统治，建立起美利坚这样一个伟大的国家。
一切似乎都是上帝赐予的：这块土地上不仅有雄伟壮观的东部阿普拉契山脉及西部的落
基山脉，而且有着从广袤无际的大草原到美丽宽阔的大海洋，这富绕的土地难道不是一

旅游业者指出，日前这位旅客过海关接受询问此行来美目地时，向旁边的中文翻译
人员嘀咕说，海关人员怎么废话一推，大爷我是拿了大笔钱来美国消费，再啰嗦大爷就
不来了。没想到他“求仁得仁”，海关人员在他的护照上盖了一个不准入境的印章，让
他当场哑口无言。
入关时不礼貌，是否足以构成拒绝入境理由？律师胡树伟指出，海关人员确实有这
么大的权力，如可以怀疑旅客带大量钱有逾期居留意图，不是只是单纯来美旅游，甚至
可用旅客来美意图不明确等，拒绝旅客入境。但旅客当场也有权利要求见海关人员上司
或要求见律师争取入关。
胡树伟说，海关问话官员不像美国领土内的警察，后者必须要有超过60%、70%合理
的理由，才能逮捕嫌犯。海关问话人员只要有30%合理的理由，就可以拒绝旅客入境。
但海关问话人员不能随便禁止旅客五年、十年或永久不得入境，除非旅客过去曾逾
期居留或欺骗移民局等，总之必须要有法律上站得住脚的理由，才能对旅客施予较长时

真不明白，美国的言论自由有什么模糊不清的，还有人弄不清？这是很清楚的法律概念。
美国宪法第一修正案的原文如下：
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
也就是说政府不许制定任何管制言论的法律。由于美国是法治社会，既然没有法律管制
，当然政府就不能管制你的言论。仅此而已。
你要是说什么话被单位炒鱿鱼，那是活该。因为单位也有自己的自由，包括炒人鱿鱼的

也去过很多次，里面有水有电视有吃的气氛也很轻松
2. 他的名字跟某个恐怖分子的alias名字一样难道不需要详细核对一下么？之前没有被
拦下来说明这个alias是最近加入系统的。难道以后所有入境的可疑人员只要声称自己

什么是言论自由
首先吐两个槽。在网上一旦有人批评中国缺乏言论自由，总会有人说，美国也是如此，
还不如中国等等等。我就十分糊涂，因为我想问题的关键在于你认为言论自由好不好，
如果你说好，那么中国有没有言论自由与美国有何关系，难道因为美国没有，中国就可
以没有，美国是中国的榜样？我以为正确的做法就是不管哪个国家没有言论自由都应该
批评，这才是所谓的公正。可见有些人逻辑混乱到了什么程度。
记得有一回我反感有些人以祖为阴，马上有人就说：那我骂你祖宗八代，你难道可以无
动于衷。我觉得莫名其妙，因为我的意思是对历史人物要开放评价，不要搞什么诽谤罪
。我可完全没有料到有人会心里这样恶龊，首先想到的就是骂人，讨论应该就事论事，
为什么要骂人呢。
