候发表，是可以理解的，因为他是RichRod在密西根执教三年彻底失败的象征。
RichRod是个在西佛吉尼亚大学打球，执教成名的教练。西佛吉尼亚大学的教练也曾经
在密西根成功过，因此被前任AD比尔马丁看上，做了密西根的主教练，成为比尔马丁豪
赌的重要筹码。在马丁看来，他只有一个缺点，就是不是michigan man. 恰恰就是这个
缺点，让RichRod在密西根的执教彻底失败了。新任AD的解聘书，选择在RichRod完成了
bowl game以后发表，是适宜的。
比尔马丁的如意算盘
把RichRod从西佛吉尼亚挖过来，带来那套无坚不摧的option进攻，利用三年时间建立
一个强队，并在2012年利用有利的赛程安排竞争全国冠军，是比尔马丁的全国冠军攻略
的重要部分。这一策略的主要部分，就是成功的挖来在BE战绩骄人的RichRod。有了
RichRod,就有了那套先进的打法，能击败宿敌俄亥俄州立，就可以冲击全国冠军了。密

这个典故说来话长。2008年Rich Rodriguez这个西弗吉尼亚的山民终于得到机会去名门
正派University of Michigan做橄榄球队的掌门。这厮时运不济，Michigan前任掌门老
车先是给他留了一堆要talent没有talent，要heart没有heart的球员，又在他上任后背
地里各种阴谋诡计层出不穷。Rich自己呢, 放弃Michigan一百多年名门正统的pro
style offense，改打spread option这种旁门左道的避邪剑法，第一年就灰头土脸搞了
个3胜9负，以Michigan历史上从未有过的惨淡赛季收场。
2009年RichRod率领Michigan以四连胜开场, 却在进入Big Ten Season之后急转直下,
输了除Indiana之外的所有对手, 再一次惨淡地弄了个五胜七负的赛季, 连续两年miss

State they would fire RichRod only if Harbaugh agrees to take the job.
to go along with this, Harbaugh is the only replacement Michigan is looking
at right now and will not fire RichRod for anyone but Harbaugh.

1）大环境太烂了。谁都知道一个伟大时代的终结和一个伟大时代的开启，中间总会有
一段过渡时间。你说公牛队谁在乔丹后面来谁不是很郁闷。球迷希望很高，球队能力有
限。压力啊！从Bo到Carr是一个完整的40年，中间不存在交接上的磨合。球迷从生出来
就假设 9+ win是michigan fan的birth right.你在这种环境下接班，多大的压力可想
而知。去WVU就不一样了，2-3个赛季烂摆，估计球迷顶反应要小好多。个人的努力在历
史大潮面前还是比较渺小的。
2）口外特的魔力--在此不是想攻击TUOS的教练卖蛇油，至于卖了还是没卖很难说哈。
但是就说一下TP的重要。你看现在TUOS进攻，基本上TP如果做option就是个好球，TP如
果选择pocket pass...在michigan身上搞来的yard,恨不得100多都是option play跑出
来的。早知如此何必当初呢.加入当时R2带着第一recruit进入michigan,而不是用着一
个pro qb who can't throw, 一个walk on |
