用的一种，两边都是瘦长的一条，放东西并不方便。说到用FD要弯腰，give me a
break, side by side 就不弯腰了？ 我觉得FD和老式上下侧开门都好用。哪个更实用
取决于你用freezer的多少，另外FD可能好看一点，不过这个也是每人观点不同。反正
我是对side by side 没兴趣。 |

siding通常是不用漆的，这家不仅漆了，而且很奇怪有两种不同颜色。Inspector怀疑
有部分siding出过问题，但不确定什么问题，也许进过水，所以换了部分siding。他让
我们去问owner。结果owner说他们买来时就这样。Inspector又建议我们找制造商的
representative来看看这个房子的hardie board siding是不是正确的install了。他怀
疑installation不正确。我们找了一圈也没找到这样的representative。再问
inspector,他建议问seller要builder的contact,让我们打电话问builder当年做完
siding后有没有让制造商查过installation。这种siding有50年的保期，但如果
installation不对的话，厂家有权出了问题不赔。
现在愁死了，不想walk away啊。可是这么贵的房子，不搞清楚这个siding的问题又不

发帖数: 1466 | 12 周末找了个contractor来看，现在的房子墙角的trim和门窗的trim都烂的差不多了，还
有车库以及一个房间的两面墙的siding也有问题，房子所有的墙粗略量了一下大概
4000sqft，contractor说如果在现在的木头siding上包一层siding，大致下来要22000
再加上装gutter和包trim差不多要25000了。
我今天有看看了，觉得大部分cedar clapboard的siding其实状况还是挺好的，刚漆过
也没多久。只是车库有一部分siding是composite wood siding，被水泡过之后涨了起
来，与没有gutter和旁边有一些植物有关系。边边角角的trim确实不少烂掉的和门窗的
trim也需要换，估计有了gutter之后也会好一些。
现在纠结是不是全部包上vinyl，contractor建议都做了，否则以后木头siding还要刷
漆，4000sqft刷漆也不少钱。
我的考虑是刷漆虽然也不便宜，但做一次siding差不多能刷3次漆了，是不是从寿命上
来讲差不多，而且刷漆不需要一次支出这么多，况且这房子还不一定住多久，如果将来

sell side卖的是product以及liquidity，那么take这些product和liquidity的就是buy
side了。
一般职场的印象是buy side多是hedge fund和prop trading而sell side多是bank，可
是实际上界限并没有这么明显：Goldman有Asset management而Citadel至少尝试过办
investment bank。HFT shop会同时使用market making和liquidity taking的策略，于
是看起来就既像是"sell side"也像是"buy side"，而buy side investor在执行交易时
往往也会使用limit order， sit on passive side，看起来像是market maker。

冰箱长时间也不会坏。side by side 开冰柜门时冷气容易出来，所以费电，冷冻效果
也没有french door好。
french door是比side by side贵，但是如果能等到店里有sale，还是不错的。我去年
11月底买的samsong的stainless french door (wator through the door) 才1200多，
加税和4年extend waranty也才1400多。
counter depth纯粹是为了好看，因为跟counter一样宽，不会凸出来一块，但是容积小
，而且价格也要贵很多，感觉不值。 |

也就比如超大size的大桶冰淇凌， 整条猪腿之类的有点困难， 其实也塞的进去，
就是塞进去以后不好取放/其他东西。
这样的我一般扔地下室里的top freezer.
对于常用的冰箱， top freezer的冷藏位置是不太好， 位置比较低。 side by side有
个好处， 顶层到底层能形成个合理的温差， 上面4-6度放剩菜牛奶矿泉水什么的。 中
间放蔬菜水果， 底层在0度或者以下正好放啤酒。
一直不知道bottom freezer的为啥那么贵。 当年买side by side $800的时候， 同品
牌同size的带filter + ice的french door $2200. 比我再买一个top freezer的扔地下
室还贵一倍多。 |

大半年.这一阵邻居修屋顶,想让他们顺便换了我这片siding,开价$100,结果他们拿来的
窄了一寸,安不上.这几天总算从lowes order了差不多颜色的,因为破的siding在将近2
层的地方,所以还要搭个高点的梯子才能够到.
拆比较容易,有siding的那个工具即可.但装的时候先卡了下边再钉钉子,结果最后死活
卡不上了.只好拆了,先钉上边,再卡下边.
总结是vinyl siding不难装,但需要高清楚钉和卡的先后顺序.新买的颜色感觉跟旧的有
些差异,也可能是旧的风吹雨打颜色浅了. |
