friends how I prefer Stefano and Anna's show to Slavik and Hanna's...Stefano
and Anna's show was fun, entertaining and energetic. I was honestly a bit
bored by Slavik and Hanna's...true that Slavik is probably the best male
dancer, but for some reason, he always seems to suppress his partner's
expression instead of bringing out her best potential. Maybe girls were
intimidated or Slavik was just too powerful? |

Shirley Ballas was slavik and karina's coach but it looks they were not on
good terms towards 2005. She is now yulia riccardo's coach. how would she
place slavik?

our coaches' son thinks slavik dances better with elena than with karina.
don't know about that

exactly like Slavik and I almost believed Slavik came back for blackpool.
But he is about 2-3 inch taller than Slavik. |

One reason, just like what Musique said, is that Slavik's dancing is too
feminine.
Also, some of Slavik's movements look a little twisted, and he bends his
legs too much.
In addition, Sergey and his partner look good together. They have chemistry. I like that.

anna are new partners so it takes time to get synergy and chemistry out. But
i feel this is positive, they will work their way up! I do like yulia, but

一番折腾之后， 我如愿来到了studio。 这个studio还是第一次来。 Front desk 让我
去back ballroom。 我想， slavik 和 Hanna 不会分开房间教课吧。 正想着， back
ballroom里面一个人倒退走到门口， 他似乎感觉到外面有人来 （就是我）， 就转头
望了我一眼。 那就是slavik!
我觉得我是屏住呼吸走进ballroom的， 或者是很轻手轻脚地走进去，反正是尽量不引
进注意, 进去后也不知道自己应该站在哪里(don't know why i behaved like that)。
这时，打过两次电话的组织者看到了我， 很友好地对我笑 “you are at the fan's
club now. They are here. You can walk around. You can watch the coaching."
我很快弄明白， 这次授课可以说是on the private side （not a publicized event)

不少valuable points. 比如， brush your thighs in major leg movements of
almost every latin dance. I think What I paid for this single lesson is
totally worth it, as the fringe benefits are huge. Slavik开始教samba。跟很多
其他dancers一样（except hanna)， 他教课教到情急之处， 忍不住提高嗓门， 开始
讲俄语。 我看到了我最想看的cruzado walk! 去年我花了不少于两个月时间在cruzado

to them, slavik and hanna's chacha has less impact (i tried to avoid the
words like "power" and "speed"). That means, i don't get as excited when
watching S&H.
sigh, i wanted slavik and hanna to win so much...their chacha has the
following issues, compared to y&r:
1. connection: there is not much connection.
a. choreography: "too many side by side sequences, not enough dancing
between them" to quote somebody on youtu |

styling seems outdated
slavik is still gargeous, fluid as ever
but can't imagine any girl besides fierce karina who can pull him off
seems to me they are totally enjoying getting back on the floor
but they two do not match

maturity in their dancing. but most important, she is young; can improve
fast with a top pro. so picking the no.1 amateur actually is not a bad
choice from slavik. her fresh energy can get slavik excited and dance
himself out. i actually feel this is probably going somewhere... |

what i meant was that though slavik is probably still the best man
on earth, his career is going downward.
the short partnership with elena and even a shorter one with hanna
just show that he doesnot have the soundest judgement.
i wonder how many people would still take him really seriously.
And not to mention he's not young.
on the other hand, anna's partnership with stefano is on an express
elevator. on the absolute scale, yes, slavik is better than stefano.

eugene and maria (E&M lost to maurizio and melinda (M&M), slavik and hanna
beat M&M). I think they will be placed at least second.
but not sure if second would be disappointing to them. it should not. i feel
slavik already got the idea that the competition is tough. so this time,
instead of waiting and watching for a year, he returns to floor just after 3
months' partnership. that is an indication of preparing to accept ups |

教课。我赶紧问studio，说他教了两天，还有最后一天，但是已经排满了。 他来
教课， 并没有事先跟studio 安排，所以也没有广而告之。谁碰上了，谁幸运。
（我猜这种world top-level dancer，随便去哪个studio，立马有学生排队上课,
他根本不用带钱包出门， 呵呵。）
我看没有机会排上对，就讪讪的离开了。 回家后心不死， 今早出门上班前，带上
了舞鞋，dance top 和 dance pants。心想，机会总是降临给做好准备的人。今天
我再问问studio，万一有人临时cancel，我没带舞鞋岂不要后悔一辈子？
然后我又去ATM取cash， 这样的课一般只收cash。 当ATM缓缓的吐出一张张崭新的
20圆钞票，我心里有一种奇妙的感觉，这莫不是个好兆头？真的，全新的，散发着
新钞的油墨味儿，没有一丝褶皱，钞票的号前后都连着 :D
11点左右， 我给studio打电话， 接电话的不是昨天我问的人。 我说， 听说

without makeup, anna doesn't look quite like the anna i see on the floor.
but slavik is the slavik i see when he visited my teacher's studio. he is
passionate, sensitive, and distinctively a perfectionist (i can imagine he
is sometimes crazy because he just want to be perfect).

Oxana might be the best Slavik can get now. But I don't see he can beat
Joanna and Yulia with her. Here is the basic Rumba comparison between Joanna
and Oxana. The difference, especially the continuity, is just too obvious
to me. :)

dancing has become too obnoxious (so has his costumes). On the other hand, I
am starting to enjoy Bryan Watson's dances now. He has improved so much in
the past few years, IMHO. |

In my opinion, slavik's dancing is too loud. His movements are a little too
big. His dancing style has become too fancy and maybe offensive. His moves
are kind of all over the place.
I didn't know Bryan Watson was taking any lessons from Donnie Burns before
OC mentioned it, either. Now it all makes sense. Bryan's dancing has changed
quite a bit. His movements are much tighter and controlled now. He is much
