其实3012的co-sponsor和其他法案的co-sponsor是有区别的。可以看出来3012由于有烙
印的组织在背后竭力推动，他们已经基本联系了大部分议员，并说服支持这个法案的议
员做co-sponsor。从co-sponsor数量的逐渐增加可以很容易看出来。而其他法案都是议
员自发的，即使会投支持票也未必一定当个co-sponsor。
从一个方面，由于支持法案的议员已经被烙印说服成了co-sponsor，剩下的其实就是态
度模糊或者不支持的。从这个角度看，前景并不够乐观。

我每次回答这个问题，都说我现在是opt，一年之内不用sponsor。我下回对于这个问题，可不可以直接说，I do not need sponsorship.是呀，我现在的确是不用sponsor就能立马干活的，我没撒谎呀。面完如果公司喜欢，有没有可能就帮我sponsor了呀？据说，我有个同学就是这样。她是hr弄错了，以为她不需要sponsor。面完大家都喜欢她，她就成了公司唯一被sponsor的。

无论如何你老婆（I-130申请人）必须是个sponsor，就算她的收入不够。她在任何情况
下都要填I-864。
很多时候，如果她的收入不够，可以找个joint sponsor。在这个情况下，她填一份I-
864。joint sponsor也分开填一份I-864。
或者她也可以找她household里面的人，把他们的收入加进去。那她要填一份I-864，
household member填一份I-864A。
但是你是immigrant，不是joint sponsor，也不是household member。你老婆填一份I-
864。你不用填任何东西。你的收入填在老婆的I-864里的适当的地方就行了。 |

我前阵子看到了一个intern的职位就申请了。hr发了一些preliminary questions让我
回答，里面有一个问题，will you now or in the future need sponsorship? 我回答
了no。当时没想那么说，想着intern一般都几个月，我的stem opt够cover这段时间了
，我专业虽然是stem，但是工作很不好找，心想有个intern也是好的，再找工作也简单
些了，打算边实习边找其他的full time position，也没想着intern的时候和公司要
sponsor，因为本来我这专业entry level都是不给sponsor的。而且，我看版里有前辈
说，opt做intern是没问题的，就坦荡荡的回答了no。（还挺自信的。。。）后来hr电
面，过了。
第二次hr打电话过来和我约与hiring manager的电面时间，又问了一遍will you now
or in the future need sponsorship? 我自然回答了no。挂了电话，我心里总感觉哪

收到一个offer，hr对于身份是说他们会sponsor h1b，和3年后的h1b renew。After that,他们也会sponsor绿卡。我是fresh phd，这个也是第一个offer，没经验。问一下大家，这种情况下还好push吗？比如说希望能1，2年内就给办。用什么理由呢？我想的是说为了travel方便，因为对方在亚洲欧洲都有业务。还有他们sponsor绿卡的意思，是说他们会付钱吗？

发帖数: 227 | 28 一点我的分析：虽然没有任何法律文件明文规定高校的TENURE TRACK的AP和公司
SPONSOR或者私人申请的EB1B有区别对待。但是你基本很少见过高校作为sponsor的案例
被REFE或者拒绝的，几乎没有，尤其公立高校和排名靠前的研究型院校，那就更少了，
有的也是一些小问题上面混乱了。
再加一点信息，EB1B的sponsor对你的case拥有所有权，而不是你个人，HR可以不给你
任何信息。反向思维一下，为什么？
其次，高校的公信度要比公司强，而且都是非盈利性质，换句话说，和移民局一样是吃
公家饭的,如果是州立大学，说不好联邦政府还有拨款啥的。校方作为这个CASE的拥有
人，移民局的人总得掂量一下吧，自己人能给自己人难堪吗？在名额不是问题的情况下
，没听说每年EB1的名额不够用吧，为什么不给你？
话的逻辑排列有些混乱，但你该懂的，呵呵。
所以，我觉得sponsor是谁，这非常重要！！！对了，公司的朋友，你们也别气愤这个
，总不能你工资比别人高，还不许在高校的别人有点所谓的小BONUS？哈哈

我的情况是我老婆是绿卡， 但是他收入不高， 基本上没啥收入。
现在我们在办我的绿卡移民， 在纠结这个i-864的问题。
因为这里面只涉及了两个人， 我和我老婆， 所以我是准备用i-864ez 但是看在前3个
问题的时候愣了一下. 我在填究竟是谁在sponsoring 谁啊? 问题问的有点傻， 大家
不要拍我。

这个petioner 是指i-130 的petioner么？
官方的instruction 是说864 是跟 485 一起file的， 没提130.

其中有一家比较大的consulting上市公司，就是专门把人派到client公司做contractor
的那种，他们的绿卡政策是，即使你离开他们公司，H1B transfer到别家，他们也继续
sponsor你的绿卡，不用重头再来。
想问问有这样的可能性吗？他们告诉我sponsor EB2绿卡不一定要被这个公司employed.
那岂不是sponsor H1B和sponsor 绿卡是两家不同的公司？
那我要是被lay off, 失去H1B，需要回国，那绿卡申请还能继续吗 ？ |

的人，普通的一个老美，有意见经验就可以做了。
之前看了一些帖子，说面试就提H1B的事情，结果。。
我去一公司，一面，二面都通过了，挺不错；
三面的时候，填写I-9的时候，告诉了公司HR和MANAGER需要SPONSOR,之后他们整个看我
的眼神都不一样。之后告知我说三面，他们对我也满意，但是他们公司是不办H1B的。
从几年前开始就不办了。然后，我就失去了这个工作机会。
现在又有个OFFER，已经给了我口头OFFER。但是我到现在还没有提到H1B的事情，不知
道会不会提了之后，OFFER就没有了。因为我OPT下个月才开始，OFFER要我下个月中开
始上班。可是很纠结。。什么时候提呢？
还有就是我是硕士毕业，他们现在给我的LEVEL来说，申请H1B时可能无法说明为什么要
一个硕士来做这个工作。但是我知道从我的这个LEVEL到上一级level，应该不用太久的
时间，几个月吧。如果我几个月之后，升职了，才提出来要SPONSOR，大家觉得可行吗？

我的背景很符合他的要求等等，还愿意跟我在接下来的一个学术会议上面谈。但是电话
最后他问我要不要sponsorship。 我说我有OPT暂时不需要sponsor，但是opt结束后需
要sponsor。 他说公司的规定sponsor H1B很困难，这个可能会是唯一不能继续下去的
原因。立马我心凉了半截！dream job 啊怎么办啊！接下来怎么跟hiring manager 谈
才能继续呢？如果只是因为身份问题悲剧，太可惜了！另外我的导师在本领域很有名，

我朋友是说对于有工作有H1b的情况，如果你是通过staffing company工作，他的公
司可以减低service fee。比如他说可以只收5%。
或者你的情况是公司不愿意sponsor h1b, 但如果可以做contract 工作， 可以通过
我朋友的公司sponsor h1b.
如果你的H1b是通过我朋友的公司sponsor，他也愿意办绿卡。
不知道这样说是否解释清楚。
