当初签合同的时候已经说好 卖方要住到5月底 因为他们的孩子还在上高中 马上毕业
所以他们现在等于在租房子
当初在attorney扯皮的过程中 他们就说只负责lawn的maintenance 至于spring
cleanup shrubs/tree maintenance应该我们负责 当时我的律师说OK 因为
spring cleanup也花不了几个钱
前几天close 卖方给了我他们以前用的2个公司的报价
第一个spring cleanup要225 好像就是捡捡树枝 枯叶什么的
另外一个公司直接吓哭本WSN了

５月份买的97年Camry V6，昨天送去年检。排气等等都没有问题，但是修车行告诉有三
个地方必须修：
1.Left Rear Spring broken
2.Tail light on left side (Big piece missing)
3.Right Side Mirror
我的问题是：
1. 半年前买车时做mechanical check（不在同一家店），被告知rear spring没有大
问题，年检肯定过。不过我开车的时候在速度加上30mile左右的瞬间能听到噪声（像排
气扇松掉时转的声音），被告知就是spring的原因，不过实在联系不起来，不知是否我
听错了。。。
2. 后面的左转灯是我自己倒车时候撞倒了消防栓侧面的尖端，灯的下半部分三
分之一的部分破了，但是还存在。现在的店家告知他可以帮我找到一些旧的灯装上可以
帮我省很多钱。
3. 右边的mirror被电线杆装松了，但是被我用强力胶带给粘上了，power control什么
的都还能用，没觉得有什么必要换。也是被告知可以换旧的。
我开车的情况：

family or a group to bond during the winter. Plam Springs, CA gets 360 days
of sunlight every year and lies 110 miles east of Los Angeles in the
Coachella Valley. Hardly in the middle of nowhere, Palm Springs is guarded
on three sides by the San Jacinto Mountains, the San Bernadino Mountains and
the Santa Rosa Mountains, and the Salton Sea (a huge lake, actually) lies
to the south.

Spa City，小鎮許多溫泉旅館，棕櫚泉區域並以天體度假旅館聞名。1913年西部拓荒者
Cabot Yerxa在此挖井，發現高溫泉水，但在距離約600碼卻挖掘出冷泉，於是命名為
Miracle Hill奇蹟山丘。原來Desert Hot Springss沙漠溫泉鎮位於San Andreas Fault
地質斷裂帶Miracle Hill Fault斷層分支上，其中北側產生溫泉，南側是冷泉，斷層與
山脈平行，所以小鎮東北靠山部分，溫泉密布，其Natural Hot Mineral Water含豐富
礦物質，經皮膚吸收後，據稱科學研究證明有療效。鎮上Municipal Drinking Water自
來水來自西南的冷泉，可直接飲用，是優質純淨礦泉水，多次被評為是世界級Best
Tasting Water。
美國溫泉很多都是露天的，相關帽子和防曬措施需準備，晚上多有開放，星空在樹隙間
閃爍不定，很多溫泉都只限對溫泉旅館住宿客人開放。前往Desert Hot Springs是順著

已经去过了，没有去那个glen ivy，去的是palm springs附近的desert hot springs那
里的两家，比较便宜，没有那个glen ivy fancy，但是我觉得都还不错
一家叫desert hot springs spa hotel，8个pool，6块钱一天，大毛巾和locker如果要
的话各1刀一天。这个地方水温比较合适，各种水温都有，pool全是露天的，环境和普
通游泳池差不多，缺点是水里有一点点漂白粉的气味。hotel有餐厅，如果要吃饭的话
很方便。
另外一家叫sam's family，20块一天，不提供毛巾和locker，有三个indoor的尺子，缺
点是水温有点热，好像最凉的一个是104度，当然还有冷泉，但是冬天泡太冷了。 这个
地方没有餐厅，但是有picnic area，还有个小湖，风景不错，还可以喂鸭子。

话说我们圣诞新年节日期间在Palm Spring休闲了一个星期， 把周围的景点都玩了。
一个饭后无聊的下午， 老公看着地图说老是在天气预报的地图上看到Salton Sea， 但
从来没见过本尊， 而且离Palm Spring不远， 应该去看看。 快3点左右出发了， 由于
这个不再计划之中， 没有预先在网上研究过， 就随性开了， 我们走的是111， 在东
岸。111是双向单车道， 路上车不多。典型的沙漠景观。 途中拐到几个 有绿树的地方
， 都是Camping的地方， 而且空气中有股腥臭味， 小孩都不愿下车。 看了一下地图
， 决定开到Bombay Beach， 如果不好玩， 就转头回Palm Spring。 没想到，Bombay
Beach是一个有点历史的地方， 虽然是挺心酸的。一进这个城镇， 就能感觉到一种肃
穆的气氛， 破败的房屋， 肮脏的街道， 只有几个小孩在打篮球， 才让人知道这个活
着但苟延残喘的小村。 沿着大堤开到水边， 才发现水边是一个抛弃的Waterfront，

问有没有家长要求期间送孩子,如果人数足够的话他们还会开，但是要另外收费。
我不记得老大送preschool的时候有没有spring break，还要另外交钱。
送到这个montessori， 只是因为接送方便。但是发现有一些以前没见过的规定。
比如说，要一个月的押金。每月还要求前一个月的25日之前交钱。
是不是湾区的preschool都有spring break? |

Not to mention Warm Springs district belongs to Fremont's better area. It'd
be more reasonable to compare Warm Springs against the entire Milpitas.
Commuting wise, Warm Springs is really no much worse than Milpitas. The
difference could be as less as couple minutes of local driving.

的expected value，价格出现短暂的平台期。一来是人们对于小学的overflow问题有比
较严重的焦虑，二是在通勤上没有比同为类似地区的NSJ更有优势，而NSJ还同时伴有G
L分部的利好。
Warm Spring 地区始终处于一种利好-利空的摇摆状态，好的消息-Bart通车，特斯拉股
价，FUSD新建校区计划都会阶段性地刺激房价和房租的上涨，坏的消息-牛逼垃圾场不
搬，Grimmer南延小区开发2018开盘，Bart沿线房产受碍均会给这种长势带来阻断，因
此价格始终属于跑一阵，歇两口。
Warm Spring 的另外一个问题就是和中半岛Millbrae类似的，不客气的说，每个
房子都是硬伤房。 |

入顶级学区的一种手段。这些人大多先上私立，快到高中的时候换入顶级学区，所以交
通大于学区的差异。
5-10年前NSJ完全没法和warm spring相提并论，就santa clara都不见得比得上warm
spring，sunnyvale更是比MSJ差远了，看看这些地区现在的价格，很说明问题了。
还是不信的话，自己下午5点钟从santa clara/sunnyvale开车回一趟fremont体会一下
，这是接娃的日常路线 |

不少的Exxon Mobil，Schlumberger的中国人去woodlands, Spring买房子。

GEORGIA AVE往北的，90年以后建的房子。
SILVER SPRING DOWNTOWN还是很繁华的，工作机会也很多，所以房子不愁转售和出租。
GEORGIA AVE往北的，离地铁站近，也不愁转售和出租。

这个长周末跟朋友去了cold spring 爬了部分的bull hill trail和cornish estate
trail. Bull Hill 还是挺陡的，初学者还是挺有难度的。 cornish estate trail还比
较容易。每个trail都至少需要2-3个小时。 爬山的人很多，很多。
不知道是不是没有爬到山顶的原因，感觉景色一般，还不如从NYC---Cold Spring 火车
沿途的hudson river valley的景色秀丽。不过cold spring的information center 和
就近的state park 提供的信息服务还挺好听全面的。 trail的标记也很好，红色最难
，蓝色容易，黄色和白色中间难度吧。 |

发帖数: 3348 | 44 在silver spring有一个lg非常喜欢的工作，工作内容他非常喜欢，薪水
可能也还算不错。
只是我俩都不太确定那一块的生活质量怎么样，房租是不是很贵，交通很
拥挤，黑人多治安不好？我曾经在college park呆过三个月，当时对那里
印象不是特别好，也许是和当时的心情有关，有偏见。
另外如果在silver spring工作，一般住在哪里比较经济安全？如果要买房
子呢?
目前我们住在德州奥斯汀，很喜欢这里hill country的风景，还有很多的小
溪小湖。在这里lg也有一个机会，工资低一些，工作内容和性质他不是特别
喜欢，title也低一些。考虑到消费水平的差别，两边工作的薪水其实差不太
多。silver spring那边的福利可能更好些。

发帖数: 6969 | 45 silver spring比college park好多了，也大多了。住在silver spring的北边应该还是
可以的。比downtown便宜，也安全些。
DC地区我觉得比德州的活动多多了。自然风景也是有的，人文的也多。你要买房子，只
要有钱，bethesda， Potomac都是好区。离silver spring也不算远。
如果德州的工作还更不喜欢一些，我建议来DC |

Plam Springs, CA gets 360 days of sunlight every year and lies 110 miles east of Los Angeles in the Coachella Valley. Hardly in the middle of nowhere, Palm Springs is guarded on three sides by the San Jacinto Mountains, the San Bernadino Mountains and the Santa Rosa Mountains, and the Salton Sea (a huge lake, actually) lies to the south.
