偶尔有机会和一个在香港工作多年的老外交谈， 闲谈中她一方面感慨中国这些年的发
展给他们带来了机会，一方面抛出了一个你可能不奇怪的问题： 为什么这样充满机遇
的地方，很多有钱的富人和一些技术人才纷纷移民海外呢（技术移民和投资移民）？为
什么
对于一个在海外疲于安身， 立命，齐家的我，对这个问题深深地思考了一番。 移民当
然有很多的原因，这个老外抛出的话外音：这些移民主要是对中国社会的稳定失去信心
，为了保护自己的利益采取移民海外。
以史为镜，可窥一斑。中国是一块肥肉，清政府时期的内忧外患引来的是八国联军对中
国的瓜分。所以假设不管中国以一种什么样的方式出现不稳定的因素，最终实质上都会
演变为当今政府和海外势力的对抗，这种对抗如果升级，对海外的华人来说，是极其危

先简单介绍一下我的背景：
国内屌丝学校转学到普渡，12月份刚毕业，方向是结构，决定本校读研，下个月就开始
。没有实习经验。今年暑假开始跟一个教授做research一直到现在，没做出什么东西来
。。教授下个学期也没RA position给我，他只让我继续做我现在在做的东西，可能就
hourly pay吧。TA也没能帮我搞到（这个我是真的恼火，GPA3.9，有做过动力学的
grader, 有教授推荐，还是搞不到TA，问committee的负责人，总是跟我说没有我想象
的那么简单，从来不正面解释）。
现在最迷茫的到底要拿一个non-thesis的master走人还是继续做research。我本科已经
修掉两门研究生的课，只要8门课就能毕业了，如果是non-thesis的，4加4一年毕业。
给活干的那个教授是明确让我下学期继续帮他干活，如果继续干活，那就只能修三门课
，如果那样的话我就会干脆做thesis然后一年半毕业。但是我并没有得到任何
