不是petitioner就把俺给打发了；当时为了省银子，没有找律师，都是自己办的，公司
就签个字而已， HR肯定不会为俺去跟USCIS这么官僚的机构打交道。现在一点办法都没

，140仅从8月14进步到8月21！哎，这正是“天上方一日，人间好多年”啊，真的还要
等4个月？！
见有人提供case number的代码，于是试着从自己的case开始前前后后地查，希望找到
一点线索。查了很多，其实也不是无聊啊，等的心焦啊！

USCIS site is OK. So email is April's 1st joke. But it did know petitioner's

月份公司律师file的EAD/AP的extension. 昨天居然受到USCIS的EAD/AP的Reject
notice，如下：

485 pending 已经7个月了，分别在第5个月和第6个月找了senator,被告知还在处理3月
份的case,不会处理5月份的case。 又等了一个月，发现USCIS贴出的处理的时间还是3
月份，觉得这样不做什么继续等下去的话，好像没有希望一样。希望大家能支招，看看
能做什么。
首先想到的是给Ombudsman USCIS office发email来complain, 但是怎么也找不到置顶
的几经完善的complain贴了，大家能给个link吗？
还有，我们找的是senator,好像USCIS根本就不怎么理会，看到有的同学说要找
congressman才好使， 这种说法有什么讲究吗？

名词解释：
USCIS - United States Citizen and Immigration Services，也即我们常说的移民局
ASC - Application Service Center，移民局申请服务中心
打指纹 - 获取绿卡前在ASC录取指纹以及照相，供FBI进行犯罪记录调查
7月27日是个重要的日子，我们一家三口（我、老婆和妞妞）去西雅图的USCIS ASC录取
指纹和照相，而这些是获取绿卡的最后一步。要说这个appointment真是姗姗来迟，我
们5月10日寄出的485申请，移民局5月14日发出了receipt notice，AP和EAD的combo卡
在6月中旬也拿到了，只有这个fingerprint appointment，在6月底才收到通知，而且
安排在了7月27日近月底。想想网上很多人两个月时间485都批准、绿卡都拿到了，而我
们2个半月才悲催地去打指纹，真是悲从心中来啊！

前的帖子。
第一步打电话给uscis， tire 2 officer, 要mail 的tracking number,
第二步 到local 邮局，看看是不是还在他们那里。
当然这个中间有邮局说已经退回给uscis， 然后uscis 说邮局没有退回，等等等等，我
们当时着急 用ap 去欧洲，真是急死了。后来就是鬼使神差若干天后， 那两封信躺在
了我家邮箱里，赶得及去旅行。 |

我们的485也算是一波三折了。
我们的PD是去年6月18号，NSC。一开始什么AP啊，EAD啊，footprint啊啥的都很快很顺
利，我们一直以为大概9月或是10月就应该能批。结果等啊等，等的10月的PD都批了，
我们的case还是纹丝不动。我们联系了议员，几个来回以后议员终于打听到，原来
USCIS还在傻傻的等我的EB2 140！他们错误的把我的EB2 140和我们的EB1 link在一起
了！
公司律师于是马上把我的EB2 140加快，140很快下来了。又等了两周，今天终于绿了！
！！
从去年6月到现在，我的绿衣服买了好几身儿，过期了好几身儿。一开始我还天天来版
上逛逛，后来心里急啊，都不敢来看大家报绿了，hoho。
穷人一位，包子都换了绿衣服了。望大家见谅。

你是说USCIS给你多少时间回复他们的RFE？一般从RFE那天起80几天之内。不可能两个

USClS 不直接收信, 都是contract out 的。从收信那一段时间起第一歩是检查所有
application 是否完整
If. YES .....MOVE ON TO USCIS 发I797 acceptance notice etc
If NO........MOVE ON TO REJECTION APPLICATION NOTICE. Eg. Failure to
sign all documents.
说是 Contract out, 但是收信中心是和USCIS NSC OR TSC 连在一起同一地点。收信中
心只会做两件事 YES or No for complete application received.

在他们的官方说明中，他们说没有必要附上文章的全文（It is not necessary to
send the full copy of a dissertation, thesis, or research paper written by
the alien beneficiary, or one in which the alien beneficiary's work has been
cited.），这可以理解，只要第一页就可以了。但在后面他加了一句： Include the
title page and the portion(s) that cite the alien's work and the "works
cited" or bibliography.是不是说要提供引文的第一页，提到被引用（我的工作）的
那一页，还有后面列的包含我的文章的references页。那这样每篇引文至少要3页。如
果我的citation是100的话岂不是就要300页纸给这个citation。

brith certificate，中英文两式的。其实这本本还是政府文件，有法律效应，上户口
必须要它。但美国情况不同，美国医院也是有个医院出具的出生证明，这就是USCIS理
解的出生医学证明，但它不具有法律效应，真的有法律效应的需要去当地政府买。所以
，USCIS这么硬性的去理解中国的东西，从字面去按美式思维去理解。
你要么把USCIS纠正了，要么只能回国去把户口上上，然后拿户口本去办公证（其实户
口本也是依靠那个出生医学证申请来的），或你换不同的地方试试办出生公证，如果出
生证是中英两式的，你不如直接叫个COPY，上面有英文清清楚楚写着：birth
certificate. |

我在网上看到很多人打指纹当天，USCIS就把指纹信息提交给FBI了。所以我很担心，不
