Accountant
Responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal
entries, maintaining Financial statements schedules and ledgers. Assisting
with monthly closings, account analysis, audits, and supporting the
accounting manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting
department.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Prepare journal entries
• Monthly closings and support in preparation of monthly financial
statements
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Assist with year-end closings and audit process
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check
differences
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls
and procedures
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the
accounting department, per request from Accounting Manager and CFO.
• Reports to Accounting Manager.
Education and Experience
• Requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance
• Must have 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area
• Requires intermediate level of MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience in Deltek Vision preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of finance principles and financial reporting
• Knowledge of FAR principles preferred
