my school project. We have to develop a recruiting and selection system for
actuary before the end of next Tue. But my participant who supposes to
provide those information through interview etc has quit due to some
personal reason, which left me in this difficult position right now.
I did do my research on SOA. But I guess since this is a highly specialized
occupation, I still have hard time to sort out the terms and som

北美精算师有两种，从事寿险工作的精算师(FSA)和从事非寿险
工作的精算师(FCAS)。这两种精算师隶属不同的精算协会。寿险
精算协会简称SOA，非寿险精算协会简称CAS。两者的前面几门考
试相同，后面的有区别。具体请参考下列信息。

发帖数: 1831 | 9 That's very nice of you. SOA and CAS almost share the same four
preliminary exams except for a small difference in the 3rd one.
After that, it is completely different. Overall, SOA has about
8 exams to reach FSA level versus 9 total exams to reach FCAS
on CAS side.

Can you also tell me whether companies usually have their own cut-off score
of exams when hiring or they just look for someone who "pass" the exam?

发帖数: 1831 | 11 "pass" with a score of 6 is as good as 10. Only if you pass every
time on your first trial with high score, you may want to mention that.
Remember the ultimate goal is to pass all exams and get accredited.
