If You have "Voice Call Barring All Incoming Enabled", your incoming calls
are barred.
You need to cancel this by ##35*[code]#. The code is usually operator
specific. Try 0000, if doesn't work, give at&t service people a call to have
them activate your incoming calls. | y*****u 发帖数: 4807 | 4 called 1-866-801-3600
Problem still exists

did a lot of search on internet and this worked
The problem is not the phone, it is ATT's 3g network.
The solution is to turn off 3g, call outbound, then take a call inbound. If
you can now receive the inbound call turn 3g back on and again call outbound
then inbound. If everything is working you may resume normal service.
Problem Details:
When the network is overwhelmed it prevents the iphone from fully
registering with any tower, so the network, and thus inbound calls, can not
locate your phone. In this half registered state your phone can still locate
a tower to make outbound calls or outbound data sends.
Diatribe:
As usual ATT technical support is more clueless then my grandmother on how
to diagnose or solve any of these problems. Unfortunately this problem will
continue to reoccur until ATT decides to fix their network, which is
inferior to almost every other network in the USA. Additionally, be warned
that ATT does not have coverage outside most major metropolitan areas, and
certainly does not have 3g coverage outside of any major city. I cant wait
until Verizon gets an iphone :) |
