结果，悉尼在73个城市中高居第二，仅次于瑞士第一大城市——Zurich（苏黎世）。
对比结果是按照各个城市居民的平均收入和平均物价来做比较。
调查中，麦当劳的Big Mac汉堡包以及iPod推出的8G Nano播放器都成为参照数据。

按照平均值来看：全球范围内，一名全职工作人员购买一个Big Mac汉堡包需要工作22
分钟；
而在悉尼，一名全职工作人员购买一个Big Mac汉堡包所需要的工作时间仅为14分钟；
同样，一名在肯尼亚首都Nairobi（奈落比）的全职工作人员，需要工作2个半小时才能
购买一个Big Mac汉堡包。

在悉尼，一名全职工作人员如想购买一个iPod 8G Nano，需要工作9个半小时；
而在印度Mumbai(孟买)，需要工作177个小时，才能具有iPod 8G Nano的购买力。
