Interesting. What kind of tumor? Did you see Macrophage infiltration in
tumors?

n***3 发帖数: 663 | 3 Generally speaking, M1 macs normally possess anti-tumor effect while M2 macs
do the opposite.
It is easy to check for M1 Versus M2 phenotypic maker expression and
cytokine responses. Pubmed "alternatively activated macrophages, tumor" will
give you quite a few of review articles to start with.
Remember, most current research on M1 Vs M2 macs in tumorigenesis is only
generating so called "correlational data". There is no definitive answer as
to which type is absolutely more tumor-promoting or anti-tumor. But in your
case, the correlation appears to fit with conventional concept (M2 favor
tumor, M1 agains tumor), so your story is easy to sell. Good luck!

we can see many strong macrophage infiltration in tumors by flow cytometry
and IHC; also analyzed all other immune cells but macrophages showed the
strongest changes.
