发帖数: 157 | 1 10月21号北京的omnivis workshop，想6月6号考完qualify以后把手里免得work整理
一下投出去，当然不一定能够接受。我是04fall入学的PhD，下学期注了4门课（有
一门没有resular meeting），如果这一趟回去一个星期到10天，想问问前辈们现实
吗？1天的workshop，1天去面签（不想用中信，觉得自己能够解释清楚）。这样的
话就会缺10天课，如果check的话可能就是一个月，这种情况会不会kill掉我这个学
期的课程？因为很可能参加不了midterm了：（大多数情况下能不能跟instructor协
商这个事情，1个月不上课，不考midterm，看能不能加个project之类的，我挺想要
个好成绩的。bow。 |

instructor. Why not go home during summer?

发帖数: 157 | 5 I know no gurantee. But I am in a tight budget, esp for my wife. Also
I could get additional income in the summer. She need money for further
education. I hope to know will most of the instructors will refuse to
give me an A if I do well in the class but absent for one month. Genera
l case, I know this is case by case. I only have a BS degree and not su
re about the CS class case in US system. Also the Oct trip will be paid
by my boss, and several bulls will be there, coz it is in joint w

instructors, you might be safe. Also if that's an important conference,
situation will be better.

one of them is pretty nice, and we have pretty good relationship, and I
sat the the previous year's class. But the third one is in another reg
ion, but a strict distinguished professor, and that might be the problem |
