发帖数: 1992 | 3 I almost emailed you about this HOP ride but thought it may be a little too
far from you. Later I saw your Strava
and realized you went to the ride as well yesterday. I rode with the "lite"
group that started @8:45am. The
"medium" ride was 15 mins later. So I guess we just missed each other.
It was the first time I rode HOP lite as well. 50-60 riders in the group I
was in. The pace was mellow at the
beginning but people started to do surges on uphill rollers soon after.
Strong cross wind created an echelon.
Funny to see everybody wanted to stay at the left side but the road was just
that wide.
I left the ride half way and went home directly as I had an appointment at
noon. But it was a fun ride. If there's
a chance, we can ride HOP together, although I'm not sure if I can follow
the "medium" pace. Does the medium
ride regroup at all?

yes, I went with some cal cycling people (otherwise, I've no idea how to get
there). We regrouped twice, one at the top of the final climb, another I can't remember, although there were
still some people get dropped ... But in any case, you should definitely try. The climb in the course is little,
slightly long but not steep at all. So it should be easy to sit in the pack most of the time. If there is not much
wind like we had at that day, it should be even easier.

California is so nice for cycling, but
cycling is not the whole life. so we'll see ... :)
