stayed with the team and learned a handful of dances, mostly American style.
After about a month of classes, we rookies were encouraged to enter the annual
Harvard beginner's competition. This event, which is still a Harvard Ballroom
tradition, is held in the early fall as the first competition of the season to
get newcomers and bronze level dancers a chance to warm up to the competitive
