is "compact chasse " "chasse in place"?
i don't think so.
don't have the technique book at hand now
but i remember syncopated rocks is at least silver

during criss cross bota fogo the two dancers' bota fogos are symmetric
they are side by side, with connection though
after each bota fogo, they switch place, by which i mean
if the girl did the boat fogo staring with left foot, during which she's
on the right hand side of the man (after the first step)
the next bota fogo starts with

compact chasse，我的理解就是原地换重心，应该就是你说得chasse in place吧。但是
那个alternative compact chasse 又是啥东东呢？
samba里头所谓的shadow position是不是两个人跳同样的步子？那从一般的position进入
shadow position是不是必须得有一个人做个foot change？然后从shadow出来，又有一个
foot change呢？

ou guys go from mirror opposite movements to the same movements, one per
son has to do one more or one less step.
where are you learning dance? you shouldn't have to worry about how to p
ut together a dance. that is a teacher's job. all you have to do is to l
earn how to shake it up with your partner :)

老师是教了个套路，从bronze到gold，各个级别的动作都有。现在准备去参加bronze级别
的比赛，所以就要删掉所有silver和gold的动作，然后看看有没有合适的bronze动作，再
加几个。我们不是请的private instructor，而是参加了本校的dancesport队，所以老师
没有时间给每个级别编一个套路，只有靠自己了，呵呵。好在prebronze和bronze总共就
那么几个动作，看看别人的教学录像，也就能凑合编一个了。
另一方面，我学跳舞的时候喜欢记住每个动作的名字。这样过一段时间，想起名字，也就
能想起动作。
