JOB DUTIES: Lead the development of software applications created by the
Global Rolls Technology group. Provide vision for software potential, write
code, manage others (employees and contractors) in code development, manage
the code library, and provide efficient distribution of code. Manage
software development and its entire life cycle. Provide creative vision of
product potential, design program architecture, propose and implement new
ideas, features, and solutions to both new and existing products. Develop
algorithms to perform sophisticated signal processing, define and manage
protocols, create attractive user interface screens, among other duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: 4 year BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science with a
minimum of 5 years experience in software development. Experience in the
paper or textile industry and mobile app experience is a plus. Must have the
ability to coordinate a team of software professionals. Programming
experience in VB and C++ or C# and ASP.NET. Strong database skills,
especially with Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with XML, JSON, and
AJAX technologies required. Experience with serial port communication,
strong written and verbal communication skills and math skills, including
statistics. Requires travel to domestic and international customer sites. |
