Senior Communications Systems Engineers - Position Overview
Position Summary:
• Contributing member of the Systems Engineering team driving
the development of communications systems that serve the Advance Metering
Infrastructure market.
• Teaming with Systems Architects in setting the direction and
details of a portfolio of products from the technical architecture stand
point.
Design Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide detailed analysis in assess the viability and
accuracy of complex system requirements.
• Rigor and accuracy in determining system specifications,
input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software
compatibility.
• Identifying, analyzing and resolving program support
deficiencies while developing and recommending corrective actions.
Qualifications
• Theoretical and practical understanding of wireless
communications systems
• Application of engineering, mathematical, and statistical
fundamentals in assessment of communication system performance
• Ability to translate an understanding of a communications
system into a comprehensively detailed simulation model
• Expertise in technical communication, capable of both written
white papers as well as presentation
• Ability to convert analysis results into systems level
requirements.
• Work within at team, at the direction of more senior systems
architects, to develop comprehensive functional, operational, and
performance requirements
• Ability to work in the lab or field environment to validate
and confirm model performance
Experience and Education
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience in RF
communications systems modeling and simulation tools
• Proven history in determining systems specifications, input /
output processes and working parameters for hardware/software
compatibility.
• Experience in creating, running and validating communication
system models required.
• MatLab experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering or related field required, Master's degree is desired |
