Research Engineer--Power Systems
Location: Beijing, China (Other cities can be discussed)
Functional Area: Research and Development
Employment Contract Type: Regular/Permanent, Full-Time
Division: Group Function Research & Development

ABB Corporate Research, in close collaboration with varied ABB business
areas, is developing the foundations for the next generation of ABB products
. In China, ABB Corporate Research, located in Beijing and Shanghai, employs
50 scientists with expertise in power and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and initiate research projects in power system area, focusing on
but not limited to the following topics: power system simulation and
analysis, DC transmission & distribution technology, conventional /
renewable energy power plant grid integration control, power system
protection, flexible AC transmission system, energy storage and electric
vehicle related research works, etc.
- Follow up new technologies, have a clear view of technology development
trend
- Provide technical support for ABB business units
Requirements:
- PhD degree majored in power system analysis, power electronics and
electrical drive, control and protection, or other related areas. Candidates
with working experiences are preferred.
- Solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills; Competence of
application-oriented research works
- Open minded and willing to learn; excellent innovation capability
- Self-motivated, willing to face different tasks and new challenges
- Be able to travel abroad, including short-term job rotation as required
- Adapt to multi-language working environment, fluent in spoken and written
English
- Good communication and presentation skills

要求：
-在下列领域具有博士学位：电力系统分析、电力电子及电力传动、保护与控制或相近
领域专业知识。具有相关工作经验者优先。
-在相关专业领域具备良好的理论和技术知识，能够胜任面向应用的研究
-思维活跃开放，具有优秀的创新能力
-积极主动，喜欢不同任务和挑战，乐于学习新事物
-愿意国际出差，包括短期工作轮换
-适应多语言工作环境，并能够以流利的（口头及书面）英语表达
