-Several people got laid off.
-A large number of people are now working on a 32hr/week schedule.
-Pay cut for managers.
This will get us through the next 6 months. And the hope is 2010 will be
better.
And to my surprise, I have no idea at all this is happening before the annoucement. |

我们公司两个星期前裁了一批，降薪了一批，7月份后是全公司范围大面积降薪。职位
越高，降得越多。职位最高那几个人，P, VP们，大约降了10%。

and have some information.
Two examples: For a local city government junior level engineer position, I
was told that they received more than 70 resumes.
For a median-sized company, I only submitted my resume 10 days after the
posting date and was told they already had enough resumes.
Seems there are numerous people on the job market.

tougher than this year, at least for the company that I work.
I just heard that CMX engineering will close its whole southwest offices,
including Phoenix, Las Vegas, and an office in Mexico. |
