查了一下，好象tenure-track AP 一般都需要教课，不教课的都是staff，没有tenure
哪位知道有没有类似的不需要教课的tenure-track AP呢？ |

就好了,好象不用教什么课,但是这种位置申请竞争不是一般的激烈,我知道的几个最后
都是招了50+岁年纪的.

一般NIH 的 scientist就是永久职位了吧？这个竞争很激烈吗，是不是一般差不多正教
授了才有可能拿到？

发帖数: 38 | 6 Scientists at NIH are like research scientist iat universities. They needs
to sign contract every 4 years. PI is a tenure-track position just like AP
at universities. You don't need to be a citizen to qualify. However, they
are tenured PI at NIH lost their positions. Nothing is secure and you have
to earn it.

teaching role so far. In my institute, the job offer to a AP will specify
that this is a position with an emphasis of research, teaching or clinical
service. |

发帖数: 2481 | 8 做research肯定是要申请grant，这个学校要分走很大一部分阿，怎么说就是学校养着
呢？就像一般staff scientist一样．
如果拿不到grant,当然也就不会想着要tenure了 |
