up，喜出望外阿。想问问大家谈工资和start-up有没有什么特别注意的地方？系里现在
就一个AP, 2010年来的，工资查到80K。另外一个系2011年来的AP（和我研究方向接近
，不过不同系）, 工资90K多些. 但是系里有副教授也就80K多一点。不知道怎么参考，
大家都是怎么参考来negotiate自己的工资的？这个学校也是我比较想去的，真的希望
能拿下。

start-up package, if U of XXX did give you an offer. This is not an actual
offer,
but you are on the dean's short list. Feel free to speak with others about
what
would be appropriate for your research.
FYI, as a rule, for the first two years, we offer a reduced teaching load of
one course per semester and a total of 4 summer months of salary (typically
taken as 2 months the first year and 2 months the second year). You should
additionally consider support for graduate research assistants, materials,
travel, and equipment, as part of your start-up.
The dean plans to have all his decisions made by mid-April. Please keep
me posted on any other offers you may receive.
