真很向往再回DALE HOLLOW钓鱼。奔一张N年前在那附近钓的STRIPED BASS, 其中一条超
大。现在回头看看这张照片， 同事拍的照片有些惊异， 我当时还真没两节裤。
During the mid morning hours of July 9, 1955, D.L.Hayes caught an 11-pound,
15-ounce smallmouth bass near the Tennessee-Kentucky state line on Dale
Hollow Lake. It proved to be the largest smallmouth bass ever caught in the
world. This July 9, fifty years later,marks the anniversary of that
outstanding accomplishment.
Mr. Hayes was fishingwith his wife Ruth and son David when he caught the
world record. They launched their boat, a 21 foot Lonestar aluminum cruiser
with a 40 hp Mercury outboard motor, out of Cedar Hill Dock near Celina and
eventually wound up catching the fish near a branch of the Wolf River close
to Ill Will Creek. Mr. Hayes used a 600 series pearl colored Bomber lure on
a Penn 209 reel and steel rod to make his record catch.D.L. Hayes and his
family continued fishing after he caught that bass, which may have weighed
even more if he had taken it immediately to the dock. The fish was
eventually weighed at Cedar Hill Boat Dock and proclaimed to be the world
record. A biologist with the Tennessee Game and Fish Commission examined the
bass and estimated it to be 13 years old. The closest anyone has come to
breaking Mr. Hayes record was a 10- pound, 14-ounce fish caught by John T.
Gorman in 1969. His

The case for David Hayes，哈哈， 不知道这个故事， 就不能自称钓鱼历史知识渊博
啊， 呵呵，自己鄙视一下。因我曾经住在那儿附近。
Dale Hollow 是由于TVA大坝建立而起的人工大湖， 在那里行船钓鱼找钓点得看淹水前
的公路地图。。。
这个世界记录后来又别取消了， 有人报告HAYES老头在鱼里塞了3磅重量。在80岁那年
， 冤案终于得到澄清。具体见
