Toronto is the No.1 research university in Canada. Engineering is
overall very good, but depends on field. I only know EE in university
of Toronto is the best in Canada, and one of the best in North America.
In Canada, CS and EE are the best for jobs. Mechanical is good too, but
the salary is too low. Civil is not so good. | p**e

Rent: around C$450/month for a big room, or a small to mid. bachelorette
Actual rent for a room ranges from C$350-500
Food: about $30-40/week, if you cook yourself
Transit: $87/month if you buy monthly pass
Others: depends on your expense.
The city is generally safer than most American major cities. There are about
50,000 Chinese and decents living in the Great Toronto Area. |
