隋书 列传第四十九
"雍虞闾与玷厥举兵攻染干，尽杀其兄弟子侄，遂度河，入蔚州。染干夜以五骑与隋
使长孙晟归朝。"......"拜染干为意利珍豆启民可汗，华言“意智健”也。"......"迁于
河南，在夏、胜二州之间，发徒掘堑数百里，东西拒河，尽为启民畜牧
之地。"
This Khan named 启民 is a very important figure between Sui and Tang. He
became the northern border-guardian of the Sui Dynasty. When he is defeated,
杨素 would be his supporter. Thus the northern border is very secured.
