补充背景：
2011 PhD in bio field, now doing business related work.
10+ papers， including 5 papers published in 2011 with almost 0 citations（4
first author,2 pulished in 2011)
total citation 110+ (independent 90+), first author citation only ~20,
because most of them were published after 2010.(I didn't mention my first
author citation in the application - avoid your weaknesses!!!)
review 15 for 8 journals (increased to 20 for 9 journals at the time of RFE
response)(recieved my first review invitation in Feb this year)
1）用了版上shhyoung前辈的模板，贴了很多图片的那个，强烈推荐！！！ DIY必读！
！！
2）我个人喜欢尽可能地多用图表，一是简明扼要，二是让人很快抓住重点，三是美观
的图表很赏心悦目（这个可能因人而异了）
3）图表中尽可能用数字说明，比如杂志是领域的top1%，文章的citation是领域的2%，
等等
4）一定要好好发掘自己研究的重要性，我因为没有任何media report，所以只能通过
推荐人的嘴里说出来。建议大家在起草推荐信之前就深入发掘自己研究的重要性，尽量
往疾病，重大科研方向，社会热点动态上联系起来。比较幸运的是我的IO很看重推荐信
，所以我的contribution直接就过了。对于比较看重硬证据的IO，就更要深入挖掘了，
比如别人在你研究的基础上发表了文章，有专利被公司购买，等等，关于这一点版上已
经有很多很好的经验了。
5）Petition letter中要尽量呈现对自己有利的材料，比如你的文章中引用有高有低，
表格中就展示top的文章；你review的杂志有好有差，表格中就展示好的杂志，当然你
的exhibit里面要把所有的列全。
6）关于totality，我RFE中用了将近15页来阐述，所以我的RFE letter比petition
letter还长。一定要有条理，我的结构是这样的：
1. I have possessed broad national and international acclaim.
1.1 My publications are cited by scientists around the world.
1.2 I have been invited to present my research at the largest
international conferences.
1.3 I have been invited by editors to serve as a reviewer for top-ranked
international journals.
1.4 My research has become a basis for other international scientists
and I have received inquiries from scientists of other countries.
1.5 My preeminence in my field has been recognized by independent
international scientists.
2. I have SUSTAINED national and international acclaim.
2.1 I have published papers almost every year in the past 5 years and I
have already published 5 papers in 2011.
2.2 The number of citations of my publications increases every year.
2.3 My RECENT publications have received great attention from the
scientific community.
2.3.1 My RECENT publications are published in the top-ranked leading
journals in the cardiovascular field.
2.3.2 My RECENT articles and presentations received great attention from
independent scientists in the field.
2.3.3 I have been actively engaged in reviewing activities for
international journals RECENTLY.
2.3.4 I continue to publish and judge others’ work in the field of
biomedical research.
3. I am one of that small percentage who has risen to the very top of
my field of endeavor.
3.1 I am superior to my peers in my publication of scholarly articles.
3.1.1 The journals where I published my papers are at the very top of the
field in their categories.
3.1.2 My papers have received the highest citations in the field.
3.1.3 My papers were cited by world-renowned experts in the field.
3.1.4 The number and quality of papers that I have published are among the
top in the field.
3.1.5 My citation numbers are much higher than other articles published in
the same journals.
3.1.6 My citation record is superior to the Faculty Scholarly Productivity
Index from the Chronicle of Higher Education.
3.2 I am superior to my peers in my activities of judging the works of
others.
3.2.1 The journals I was invited to review papers are all prestigious
international peer-reviewed journals.
3.2.2 The editors who invited me to review the articles are independent
international well-known professors and scientists.
3.2.3 The authors of articles that I reviewed are international recognized
scientists.
3.2.4 I was invited as a reviewer due to my international reputation of
excellence in my field testified by the editors of leading journals.
3.2.5 I am among the top percentage of the reviewers and I have reviewed
far more papers than other peer reviewers.
3.3 I am superior to my peers in my significant contributions to the
field.
3.3.1 The recognition from other scientists in the cardiovascular field
has clearly established the significance and importance of my contributions
to the field.
3.3.2 I have won a very competitive fellowship that places me among top 1%
in my field.
3.3.3 I am one of the very few have reached to the top of my field of
endeavor as recognized by independent scientists around the world.
7）最后说一下关于转行不做research对EB1A的影响，我想版上也已经有不少像物理转
金融之后EB1A也成功的例子。关键是无论如何要把现在的工作和以往的research联系起
来，强调以往的成绩在现在的工作中继续发挥作用，而且比做纯research对美国的贡献
更大。
